Wendy froze for a moment, then immediately remembered Kieran saying that Terry had fainted in the snow. Her heart skipped a beat. She stood up, pushed Hudson aside, and ran out the door. Hudson was startled by her sudden movement, but she had already rushed downstairs before he could say anything. Frowning, he quickly followed her. When he reached the bottom of the stairs, he was shocked by what he saw. Wendy was almost frantic as she rushed into the snow. She removed her coat and wrapped it tightly around the stiff body lying in the snow.

Tyler asked joking around. “Not everyone who sees a shrink is crazy Ty,” I said and started to head inside the building. That’s when I heard her voice. Kennedy Jones the school’s most feared female. On opening the door, I was presented with the irksome view of Stacy, stark naked and sprawled on my bed. What. The. Fuck? I gritted my teeth in annoyance. Stacy was one of Val's friends. I couldn't let her go in the state she was in.

She cooked for me, but I didn't even take a bite. Then, she went missing for the whole afternoon. When she came back, her face was covered in the Joker's makeup, and a big red nose hung from her actual nose. She tried to play some tricks to cheer me up. It was a clumsy performance. She scrambled to juggle the balls, only for them to fall off three times. Wendy was the Haltons' only heir and always kept up airs wherever she went. She was serious and intimidating, but she humbled herself just to make me happy.

He was calm, as if he hadn't nearly killed me the day before. Wendy sat up and gave me an apologetic look. "I'm sorry, Jess. I had no idea they would go so far. I just said I thought Jackie Chan's movies were cool, and then…" She started tearing up. I gave her no response. Joseph frowned and pulled me aside. "Hey, she already said she's sorry.
