Lycans were a myth. “I’m serious, Zaliver,” I said with my lips pursing at him. “So am I.” I shook my head at him not believing him. “Think about it. A species similar to werewolves but are way too different from them—stronger, faster, and better than wolves. I command all wolves. Come on, Vivian,” he said.

He was a Lycan — a creature thought to be out of extinction since the time dinosaurs walked on Earth. According to legends, Lycans were werewolves; but they were more powerful, undefeated, intelligent, fiercer, stronger and deceitful than any werewolves could ever be. Unlike normal werewolves who walked on four paws, Lycans walked on two, and early philosophers who were unfortunate to meet them described them as ruthless and fearful creatures. Lycans were also regarded as the creators and gods of werewolves.

He told her. “Downworlder hunter.” She corrected him. “I’m not just a vampire hunter, I also hunt werewolves but sure, I’ll just change clothes.” Cassadie agreed as she decided to wear her yesterday’s clothes. “Should I buy you new clothes?” Yomiel asked as he went on wearing his usual suit. “Nah, no need. We can wear this for a week.” Cassadie told him. “Eh, what about the underwear?” He wondered as he tilted his head as he looked at her.

Looking at my mate before me, seeing how much power was contained within this form, I could understand why they were seen as superior. But could he outrun me?

If she would accept him as her mate. Unlike normal werewolves, who felt a pull to their mate, was destined for them, Lycan’s chose mates. Oftentimes they had several mates in the pursuit of creating as many offsprings as possible, something he had not and likely would not be successful in. Other times they took life mates. After finishing the meat, Viper made his way back onto the ship with it in hand. Placing most of it into the large cooler, he prepared to cook the rest for the evening meal.
