Have you ever thought what one's life would be if their fate wasn't decided by the moon goddess?. Everything would be very different, one would get the chance to decide what path to take and who to love. Sadly that wasn't the case for me. My fate was already sealed the day I was born a Werewolf. The fact that I was born an omega meant that I was below the high ups. My purpose was to serve and please them as they wanted. I was never to look them in the eye or answer them back unless ordered to. One of my duty was to spread my legs for the alpha and let him breed me as he saw fit, until I could produce him pups as many as he wanted. Only then would I be given the freedom I longed for. It had been ten years, and Ethan—my mate—and I still didn’t have a pup. One day, he suggested we adopt one from the Werewolf Orphan Charity Agency. “My mate,” he said gently, “pregnancy is too hard for you. You’d have to go through so many checkups and herbs. Your wolf shouldn’t have to suffer like that.” When others heard this, they all said Ethan loved me deeply—that he couldn’t bear to see me in pain. But I saw the truth with my own eyes. He took an infant pup from another she-wolf. “Luckily, Mia isn’t pregnant,” he said. “That way, the excuse of adopting an infant works—and the pup can have a legitimate status in my clan.” I knew that she-wolf well. The same one Ethan used to call a “stupid omega.” Swallowing the bitterness in my heart, I called my mentor at the Werewolf Research Academy. “I want to devote myself to herb research,” I said calmly. Three days from now, during the pup’s first New Moon blessing, I’ll fake my death in a fire. No one will be able to stop me.

I never met my real father. Living in a small werewolf community, there were always rumors. But I never really paid much attention. I only listened to what my mother said about him and she never talking about him. So I assumed that it was something painful and I accepted that and left it alone. Being a single teenage mother, she was shunned by the rest of the pack but she wasn't sent out to be Rogue. She managed to finish school, go to college and become a Doctor. She is one of the most highly respected professions but they still treat us like vermin. So when I started getting in numerous fights at school my mother decided it was time to pack up and leave. "I'm gay." My eyes grow so big as I stop breathing, but two seconds later I'm bursting with laughter. "Okay funny," I finally tone down my laugh as I bring myself to look at him again.
