What if the test the doctor did was actually wrong and there was nothing there? What if the test showed she was just going to lose this pregnancy too?

That got Dominic’s attention. “Then what was it?” “A projection,” I said. “A worst-case scenario where the system breaks down over time.” Arden frowned. “Break down how?” “Inconsistencies,” I said. “Nodes failing to synchronize.
