I open the door and see an office with books in every shelf. A chair and table with a laptop on it, newspaper beside the laptop. I walk to the shelf in the hopes I see an intriguing book. I see one title, 'What lies beyond'. Catchy title. I will take it. I grab it and the shelf opens. I couldn't see anything because it is dark and smell of dust.

“I saw this in a dream, but it wasn’t until the Alpha started speaking, that what he’s looking for is this.” Flipping open the page, he shows me a detailed sketch of a town that looks like old Crescent Town, but sweeter somehow. Above the town are glowing crystals, and I realize it’s an entire village underground. As he explains the mechanics of how it would work, a pocket dimension nestled beneath the city itself with just as much potential to expand and grow, enough to house generations of witches, I feel my heart flutter with excitement. Channing reaches forward to take the book, and flipping through the pages, his eyes light up. “What do you call this place,” Channing asks.

And from deep beneath the temple, something answered. A low, echoing growl. Lyla’s pulse spiked. Because it wasn’t just a memory. It was waking up. At the center of the room stood a stone table. And upon it rested the old journal he had discovered days ago. Lazriel sat down. Then opened the final page he had previously examined. Still blank. Just as before. He exhaled quietly.

Torn books were scattered across the floor like the aftermath of a literary war. Alex wrinkled his nose. “You’re telling me a human inhabits this place?” I walked straight toward the back wall, pulled a leather-bound dictionary, and the wall shifted silently as a concealed door slid open. Alex’s breath caught. Beyond it was an elevator. We stepped in and it took us ten feet below the library. “This is fucking insane,” he muttered. I chuckled. He was cute like this—curious, amazed, and trying not to show it. The underground safe house looked nothing like the dead library above it.

Lia said, reading out a list. "Okay," Lisa said and we all went to our appointed areas. Rather handily Lia's bookshelf was organised into three sections: 'books I am yet to read', 'mediocre books' and 'books I would absolutely read again'. Allison and I picked out four, two from the would read again section and two from the am yet to read section. "Lia? Where did you last see your charger?" I asked, looking under her very low bed. "Keep looking where you are, it could have slipped under there," she answered whilst taking a pair of panties out her drawer and putting them in her bag.

Crane pondered about that for a moment and snapped his hands as he seemed to have developed an idea. “There is this book that we were told about when we were kids” Crane looked at Ella. “Go ahead and tell her, the future of this world lies on our hands and I don’t care if we have to break protocol to change the narratives of her own world” Valerie smiled at Ella; aside the fact that she was a beauty to behold, she was also brave woman. “This book is known as the book of the gods; it is hidden in one of the ancient mountains in Belizibub” Crane stated.
