EMPIRE OF LIES

EMPIRE OF LIES

ARIEL THE LION’S DEN 11PM Hidden in the center of the city, an underground bar for only serious businesses, like mafias, the Lion’s den was the best place for secret meetings. And for someone like me, I have a membership card, even though it’s extremely hard to get. For me, it was easy. It wasn’t the name Ariel which worked for me, but it was the work I did to make that name known. If someone else was Ariel, then that name wouldn’t be important. But it was me.

Alpha's Second Choice

Alpha's Second Choice

They moved deeper into the library until Pat stopped at a lone pedestal in the center of the room. Upon it sat a thick, dusty tome bound in what looked like pale, cracked leather. The cover bore no title, only a symbol: a blazing fire crowned by three horns, with jagged lines splitting its base. Pat opened the book carefully. “Mad Kings of the Underworld,” Jo read. She leaned in, studying the strange, curling script etched in faded ink. She flipped through the brittle pages until something finally caught her eye. A name. Malrik. Jo’s heart skipped.

Love of lies

Love of lies

She turned back and walked towards Kyle, she looked at him before looking at me, with a glare "No one will ever love you, you will never get a man as good as Kyle. You are pathetic Tara, sorry to say but no one likes a girl who keeps secrets from her boyfriend." Damn, she always gets me, I hate the fact she always gets to my head. She turned back and was about to leave when I stop her, I walked towards her and stood right in front of her, staring into her eyes "For your kind information Maria, you are the pathetic one, not me, if I remember clearly, Kyle didn’t cheat on me, actually, we were playing each other." I said before I looked at Kyle. It hurts me to lie but I have no other choice, I

A Foundation of Lies

A Foundation of Lies

"Unlike Flora. She relies purely on her own hard skills to carve out a place in the design world. How could someone like you possibly compare to her?" Hearing him say that, it suddenly struck me that the name 'Flora' sounded awfully familiar. There was an architect in our industry who had been blacklisted by multiple firms for plagiarism. If I recalled correctly, she shared that exact name. Watching the two of them act so intimately, I clenched my fists tight, my voice trembling. "So... while I was away, you’ve been cheating on me all along?" "Cheating?" Louis acted as if he had just heard the funniest joke in the world.

THE LIES THAT BIND

THE LIES THAT BIND

Chapter 44. Ana’s POV. One week and 4 days later. ‘I think I’ll be needing a job soon,’ I whispered underneath my breath as I scrolled through my phone. I was trying to see if I’ll be connected to any of the remote writing jobs available. I didn’t want to do this because I had no money or perhaps, either Massimo or my dad couldn’t care for me, but I needed to earn a living on my own as a lady and a wife, not just sit and depend on the cash from my Millionaire father and Billionaire husband. The room was looking littered with clothes all over while I sat at the edge of the bed. I could see the silver lining Isabel gave me two days ago, sitting right at the edge of the drawer. That wasn’t so g

Marked From Birth

Marked From Birth

She thought of the cold floors of the Moon Shadow manor. "I've been hearing those voices my whole life," she said. "Now, I’m going to give them a pen." The Chapter shifts as they descend. To add to the word count, we describe the journey beneath the Citadel—a descent through the "Foundations of Lies." As they moved through the subterranean tunnels, the walls began to change. The stone was covered in Living Text. Phrases like 'The Shadow is the Rot' and 'The Silver is the Truth' pulsed on the walls.

Into His Darkness

Into His Darkness

He narrowed his eyes. “This is blank.” He said. “It’s nothing. I found it in the basement.” I lied and put the book back under the bed and turned to Dumeny. He didn’t look like he believe me but he didn’t say anything further which I am glad. I am a terrible liar and so they are. they hide things from me, why cannot I? “Okay then. Before you kick me out of your room, I should get going.” He said and hugged me. I returned the hug and opened the door for him.

Hello lovely people! sorry for leaving you all hanging in middle of nowhere. I seriously didn't get time in past month to update for which I am really sorry. I will try to complete the story in this book only. Please be patient with me as I am recently acquainted to college life.

I'm guessing that English isn't your first language. Maybe it would be best to hire an editor? Some of the grammar mistakes make for a confusing read. I have had to re-read quite a few lines and guess the meaning with context clues. I'm intrigued with the story so keep it coming!

Lord Dhruv: The Omega fated companion.

Lord Dhruv: The Omega fated companion.

I expected to see a body or being that Sophia had claimed would bring doom. Instead, all I saw was book. Alexander's basement was an ancient library. A huge one at that, one that almost left me breathless. The architect of shelves were crafted in a way that I'd never seen before. I glanced at Alexander who was now looking through some books, my legs carrying me forward to the plain balusters, and once I got there I couldn't see the ending of the shelves. It was never-ending. There were also some round floating shelve, that had somehow managed to defy the law of gravity, with tons of books on it. Sophia had lied to me. There wasn't any dark energy shrouding the basement, at least, I didn't fe

My Crave, My Ruin

My Crave, My Ruin

Because it’s something I had wanted so badly but never imagined doing it with a total hot stranger. He lay me down on the bed and pulled his shirt off and good lord he was a piece of art. Dark tattoos covered every inch of his arm forming a sleeve making him look even more dangerous and irresistible and his abs, my fingers itched to touch them. His gaze hovered over my body for a moment and finally leaned in and our lips met. The kiss was slow and teasing at first. My body reacted before my mind could and I found myself arching my back pressing myself against him.

Sierra Is Alive

Sierra Is Alive

I just want to bury anything related to her. But, while I was finally cleaning my bedroom, which she had occupied for a few months, I discovered a book on my bookshelf that she had asked me to buy previously. As I examined the book, I was surprised; I had never found any of her belongings before when looking for proof; did I simply overlook this one? I took a look at the book and discovered it was a mystery thriller; I chuckled in disbelief when I saw the title, "The Weight Of Lies." Seriously, Sierra? This was the one you chose out of all the books you could have left?
