"Did something happen?!" "I think you might have done something to the heart there. See you in 5 minutes sugar." She hung up. __$ Clarissa froze when she saw him leaning at the door. After sharing a little more than a second stare she continued folding her clothes. "Well you should be resting." He finally spoke when he noticed she wasn't even going to continue looking at him. "Why? I'm perfectly fine." She rather replied. Now that he was here, how was he going to start? Audora had told him she wasn't okay, right? Maybe it's one of her stupid tricks again planning on getting both of them to be alone, who knows!

‘I could ask you the same thing—you can open your eyes now, Rose. I did and Rum was smiling down at me. I saw his hand and grabbed onto it to get up. Then, I found myself looking at the Luna of the Silver Ring pack. ‘Why did you leave home?’ Rum asked as he removed the leaf from my hair and helped me neaten the strands as I brushed the sand off my robes. ‘How did you—you went back?’ Mrs. Hook was shocked with concern. 'For Goddess's sake, Keithen Hook!' So I quickly explained, ‘we sneaked in, Mrs. Hook. No one knows Rum–I mean, Keithen—is back.’

"Easier said than done I'm afraid. I'll deal with it when the time comes. So right now I'll take that chocolate. So let's go." Hooking her arm in mine we walked together over to Theo who just got the fire going and we all sat in the chairs surrounding the hearth. Sitting back in the chair I found myself staring at the dancing flames. Hoping beyond hope that whatever it is I need to do to help fix things I can do. And soon. Time seems to be starting to really catch up to me. If Viktor finds me here before I can learn what I need to learn I fear for my future. For everyones future.

she said. "The hook," he said. His voice was steady but his sun mark was burning at a level it should not have been burning at yet and I could see from where I was standing that something was pulling at him already. "It is not dormant. It is already active. And it is not on you." Luna stared at him. "It is on me," he said. "It was already on me when we arrived. Before the transfer. Before anything." He looked at her. "The Void Court knew," he said. "It heard the plan. It moved the hook before we could."

The doctor had already warned us that the birth could happen at any time. The thought of leaving now felt impossible. A gentle knock sounded on the chamber door. "Come in." The captain stepped inside before bowing respectfully. "My Alpha." I turned to face him. "You have read the invitation?" "I have." He remained where he stood.b"The council expects every Alpha to arrive before sunset tomorrow." I gave a slow nod. "I know." The captain hesitated. "Will we begin preparing for the journey?" I looked back at the letter lying on my desk.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” Raising his hand, he tenderly strokes my face. “I’m with you, so I’m perfect” His sweet words fill me with joy. Yay! My Damian is back. He briefly places his lips against mine, before taking a step backwards. Digging his fingers into his pocket, he pulls out another small fold of tissue paper. “Another memory for your locket” he says, placing it in my palm. “I hope you like it” He already gave me the Eiffel Tower charm at dinner, so I can’t imagine what this one will be.
