FALLING FOR MR FROST
Jackson was leaving for his parents’ tomorrow morning.
All I was able to do during the week was comfort Jackson in the little ways I could, but that still wasn’t enough.
He had been pacing back and forth for the past hour now, creating a small trail in the carpet between the couch and the window.
Maya had come by earlier, bringing food that neither of us had touched. Kieran had come by a couple times too, looking more concerned than ever.
“Maybe I should just go,” Jackson said for the tenth time, running his hands through his hair in obvious frustration. “Get it over with. Face them. They’re going to lose their minds, but at least it’ll be done with, right?”
