Novel & Cerita When Does Mark Sloan Come To Grey's Anatomy

Derek found out at 6pm. Marcus from the fourth floor. Jacket already on, bag over his shoulder, phone held out like he was doing Derek a favour. He said: "Hey, saw something online. Is it true? Sloane got married today?" Derek looked up from his screen. "To Caden Ashford?" The name landed like something thrown hard across the room. Derek took the phone. Looked at the photo. Grainy, taken from a distance outside a courthouse. Sloane in a dark coat. A tall man beside her, face half turned, but the height and the build and the way he stood told Derek everything he needed to know.

I sat near the far wall and opened my folder. I was halfway through my notes when the elevator doors opened across the lobby. I looked up without thinking. Sloane stepped out, pulling a small overnight bag behind her. She still had her coat on. Her eyes searched the lobby until she noticed the hallway where the celebration noise was coming from. She hadn’t seen me yet. I watched her fix her hair with one hand and straighten her coat with the other before walking toward the sound of her fiancé’s voice.

They got even. The call ended without a goodbye. Sloane set the phone down, stared at it for a long time, then turned back to the television. The screen showed a split image: one of Mya, serene and composed beside her brothers at the press conference, and one of Damon and Sloane arriving at an event months ago, both wearing smiles that now looked brittle. Sloane muted the sound. The silence rang louder.

“Jess got a call and was livid. I would like for my best friend and the love of my life to be somewhat civil toward each other, and I’m aware that’s going to take time, but Jesus, Ashton. Taking Molly from the hospital when she was still unconscious?” My gut shifted. “Did the doctor call or did Sloane?” He held my gaze for a beat. “Dr. Nea Sandquist has become somewhat friendly with Jess, but no, the doctor is as terrified of me as she is of you.” So the nurse. Good to know. “I see,” I replied. He snorted. “You don’t see shit. Sloane is close to Jess, was close to Kelly. She used to volunteer at the hospital. Her death hit Sloane hard too.”

"Is Jamie’s detail outside, Preston?" "The nurse arrived ten minutes ago, ma'am," Preston said. "Mr. Shaw requested your presence at the tower before the Asian markets open." "Tell him I’ll be there in twenty minutes," Sloane said. "He didn't give us twenty minutes, ma'am," Preston said, his tone perfectly level, perfectly empty. "He’s on the line now."

She fell silent—and the quiet that followed cut too deep to be just a simple pause in thought. One year. One year beside a man who denied everything she stood for. One year in a war in motion—with a single frontline: Lennox Graves's body and soul. "If you want to reconsider—" Marcus began, but Sloane cut him off. "I won't." Silence. Then Marcus, his voice low, with deep appreciation: "Alright, doc. I'm glad it's going to be you. We start tomorrow." The line went dead. Sloane sat for a while longer, the phone resting in her hand.

I leave no room for argument and turn around and wake off before the squad sees us together. I need to be smart about this. I want Raven, but I have responsibilities now. The pack is counting on me. I can’t be distracted because of a relationship. But, clearly I can’t stay away from her. Maddox is also not helping matters. I head to the hospital to check in on Sloane. “Any improvement?” I as the doctor as I wake into Sloane’s room. “She is stable Alpha and should wake up any moment now. She is strong even without her wolf.” He states.

Great, more drama…yet Nina stays seated in that damn chair, frozen as a doll. Sloane sighs, eyes piercing through my skin like needles. “Have you told him yet?” “Told me what?” I ask, bone tired of the freaking mysteries and secrets and— “Starting next week, your wife, Sloane, will be your new assistant.”

LUCIEN'S POINT OF VIEW. Sloane looked out ahead as she gave me directions to the grill. "Turn here." She said, her voice small as I drove on the smooth road. The rest of the guys followed behind in their cars. This moment with her made me forget everything I'd been thinking of since that day at the spot. I forgot about my supposed future wife arriving in less than a month at Ravenscroft, as well as the engagement gala my father has in the works for us as soon as she arrives. Sloane was never supposed to feel this read; I'd proposed our fake dating for one reason;

“Damn, you’re a hard man to resist.” “Good. I don’t want you to resist me. And I’m spending the night tonight, Sloane. Come midnight, we’re going to talk. One way or the other, we’ll know if we're mates.” She looks away and I reach up, gently pulling her face back to look at me. “Sloane?” “I’m not ready to be marked yet, Benedict. There’s so much we still need to figure out …” “And we will. Together. I can wait to mark you, as long as there isn’t a threat that someone else will. All the more reason for me to kill Kaelin if he shows his face.” I growl.
