Ciel turned his head to look at his phone on the bedside table, his eyes as sharp as a newly sharpened knife. ‘Why did the phone have to ring at the wrong moment?’ And with that thought, Ciel made his way towards the bedside table and grabbed his phone. He looked at it in irritation and started talking to it as if it were a human being that could answer him. “Why did you have to ring at the wrong time? You could have waited until they were done talking, then I wouldn’t have gotten caught, and I could have heard the most interesting and most important answer from that jerk! You could have waited a bit more—”

I can't even focus on reading my book anymore. I don't know why but my mind is distracted with unknown reasons. But I don't have any better things to do, so I might as well try to read again. Before I could even open my book, my phone began ringing. Who the hell is calling me right now? Due to feeling irritated, I didn't have the time to look at the caller id and just accepted it. "Advance Happy Birthday Lili!" I immediately move my phone away from my ear because of that loud voice. I am thankful for my fast reflex or else I might lose my sense of hearing.

Even before she answered the phone at home, it started ringing. "Now, from where is this phoe ringing?" She thought as far as she rememebered he didn’t let any phone at home except his mobile. Letting out a soft groan, I squeezed my eyes shut, trying my best to shake the feeling off, but all that did was trap me deeper inside it. I was lying on my side, staring blankly at the pillowcase, when a sudden, sharp sound sliced through the silence. A ring. Slowly, I rolled over and looked. It was from Noah’s phone. For a moment all I did was stare at it. The screen lit up, vibrating gently on the wooden surface. On the fourth ring, I reached out and picked it up. “...Hello?” My voice came out small. I cleared my throat and tried again. “Hello?”

No reply. Something about it feels wrong. My fingers tighten around the phone, then I hang up immediately, my hand shaking slightly. I stare at the screen. No message. No missed calls before that one. Just... nothing. Trying to distract myself, I scroll through my phone for something, anything to stop my thoughts from running wild. I open the reading app on my phone and start flipping through an online novel. The words blur a few times before I manage to focus. I read for a while, losing myself in the story, until my stomach growls loudly. I glance at the clock. Past noon. "Lunch," I mumble to myself. "Right."

I drank some water and took the empty dishes back to the kitchen. I quickly washed the dishes and went back to my room. For some minutes, I was engrossed in the book when suddenly my phone began to ring. I dropped the book on my reading table and picked up the phone which was on the bed. I looked at the screen.
