His laptop remained untouched on the coffee table. The air was thick, as if even the silence had grown too noisy to be avoided. But even now, every time he walked by that wall—**that damn wall**—his breath caught. He couldn't stop hearing her. Not the sounds of her with customers anymore. Those had stopped. But he heard her laugh softly on the phone. He heard her footsteps, the clinking of glass occasionally, the sound of water rushing.

His voice sounded doubled, a deep, vibrating undertone hidden beneath his usual calm demeanor. Siron took a step back, his back hitting the cold stone of a shattered headstone. The scent of damp earth and ozone still hung in the air among the temple ruins. Elara had already vanished, leaving behind a warning that thrummed in his head: The Whisperer. “I am Byron, and I will be guiding you to the priest. Please follow me.” As they walked and climbed, the forest grew denser, and when they finally arrived at the location, Willow's mouth dropped. Wes was equally enthralled. A waterfall that was surrounded by the environment's lush greenery appeared. The sound seemed to come from the tree itself, from the rustling of its leaves. I pressed my palms against the rough bark and closed my eyes, focusing on the whispers. " Come... find... me..." The words were faint but distinct. My heart raced. Was I losing my mind, or was there something more to these whispers? I stood up, brushing the dirt off my jeans, and took a few steps back. The whispers grew louder, more insistent.

I was damping my hands before tapping my face lightly with water. I hope this wakes me up. “Get your shit together, Lianna!” I whispered to myself. I turned the faucet off and that was when silence enveloped the bathroom. Something crawled within my skin. I didn’t realize I was all alone in the restroom! With fear and slight annoyance, I quickly walked out of the bathroom with my heart beating loudly. I was so fucking scared, alright! “Fuck,” I cursed. “What the hell was that?” I held my chest tightly, hoping a single hand of mine would at least calm the beating. But it didn’t work, my heart was hammering through my ribs and it was amplifying through my whole system.
