The Shadows of Haverstone Manor
“Do not let it divide us.”
Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows, its form indistinct but undeniably human. It stood motionless in their path, its head tilted as if observing them.
“Who’s there?” Jamie called out, his voice trembling.
The figure didn’t respond. Instead, it raised a hand, and the whispers grew deafening.
“Move!” Callan shouted, stepping between the group and the figure. A burst of light erupted from their form, pushing the shadows back.
The figure dissolved into mist, but the whispers remained, their malice palpable. The ground beneath them trembled, and dark tendrils began to rise from the earth, writhing like living shadows.
