“If I tell you, they’ll kill me.”
“If you don’t, I will,” I said, evenly.
The silence stretched. Outside, thunder rolled again, distant but closing in.
Finally he whispered, “It’s not one person. It’s a chain. A courier named Dani, then someone she answers to in the north sector. Money moves through a shell company registered under a Leone cousin.”
“Names,” I said.
He gave them. Four in total. Two I recognized, one I didn’t, and one I’d shared dinner with last week.
