The last pair I looked at was his. His eyes charmed me. They pulled me in like a was fish dangling on the end of a line. I had never seen eyes like it… come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a man like him before. She found her happily ever after. "Yay!" My little self clapped in joy before running to my bed. My tired eyes watched as mother returned to the dressing mirror. I remembered this odd ritual. My mother's hands picked at one eye and a cornflower blue hue that was on her eye peeled. I didn't know what it was then but I recognized it now. Mother was using contacts. She blinked and stared into the mirror and in place of the cornflower blue irises the world was used to seeing, I saw the sharpest whites.

"It means you'll start smelling like omega within days. And your eyes... that pretty brown you've been maintaining... the blue won't hold much longer." My blood ran cold.

The look made my long lashes stand out and drew attention to my striking icy blue eyes. They had dressed me in a sleek blue gown that hugged my curves perfectly and fell just above my knees, matching my eye color with precision. Vivian had sent over earrings and a necklace crafted from the same rare gold used in the Eclipse Ring collection. The pieces shimmered even in the soft lighting of the room, casting brilliant reflections across the walls. "Just look." I sigh, but my eyes find them quickly. Since they're the only color on my face, it's almost hard to ignore them. My irises have a distinct shade of pale magenta due to an even mixture of pale red and purple. My eyes seem a little redder than normal in the candlelight. I can tell because they seem more purple when I look in the mirror during the day.

When we finished dinner I went back upstairs to my bedroom and I went into the bathroom to have a shower. I got dressed in a tank top and shorts and I stood in front of the mirror blow drying my ass length snow blonde hair and brushing it at the same time so it didn't go all fluffy on me. And I stared in the mirror at my piercing blue eyes. Everyone always looked straight at the eyes because they were so blue and I actually started wearing contact lenses a couple years ago just to dull the color a bit. I don't need glasses or contacts, it was just to dull the color. And I was considering whether or not to do that here.

There is no denying that it will be even more beautiful when it grows up. He blinked once too even though he couldn't see much yet and his eyes were the color of the amaranthine stone. They are pink and the rarest eye color. But this is not something that will make anyone happy. Because the color of the eyes defines life. Fairies who have pink eyes are ominous.
