I couldn't help but ask her "What happened to you?" I didn't want to say 'you were so nice' in order to avoid suspicions. She looked at me, many emotions swirling in her eyes, the one I saw boldly was regret. What did she regret so much? "That's a story for another day." She said finally walking out.

"One day, you’ll regret saying this to me. You’ll regret turning me away." Cassia arched an eyebrow, amusement flickering in her eyes. "Oh, really? Then why does it seem like you’re the one regretting losing me?" she asked, her words leaving him speechless.

Austin has always been the one for her and I guess I was just a third wheel in their relationship. I was delusional thinking I would get it all but the facts are always right; a third wheel never gets it all. Even if the main characters aren't happy together. I take a step back from the hug, my heart heavy with regret and sadness.
