Everyone cheers. “Let’s count down to midnight to welcome him into his birthday!” Willow shouts with a huge grin on her face. Everyone starts. “10…9…8…” Willow walks towards me. “7…6...5…” “Please stay calm and don’t overreact, she won’t know until she is 18.” Willow whispers into my ear. “4…3…” I look at my sister. What the fuck is she talking about.

Willow's expression was incredibly serious. She looked like a little adult. Julian pinched her cheeks, holding back his laughter. "But you're not a two or three-year-old kid anymore." Willow was still young after all, so she couldn't think of a retort even after she thought about it for a long time. She thus looked at me for help. I lifted her onto my lap and said, "But she's still going to kindergarten!" Willow nodded firmly as she agreed, "Mommy is right!"

Mila explained as Kaia walked happily out of the party. She was not planning on staying for long. She had more important things to take care of than wasting it on a stupid birthday party. “ Enough about Kaia, what's new with you and Hayes? Is the Mayes ship sailing or sinking?” Willow asked. It was two more weeks before her wedding and she couldn't be any more excited than she already was. If someone had told her she would be getting married at 23, she wouldn't have believed but here she was to be married in a month.

He laughs and slaps my back, then walks toward his bike. “Ready Mona?” Willow questioned her. Mona looked so excited that she could hardly contain herself. “Hell yeah, I was born ready!” She threw her arms around Nix’s waist, and he couldn’t hide the blush that crept up his neck and into his face. He’s definitely a virgin. How the hell is an 18 or 19 year old beta werewolf still a virgin. I laugh to myself, then I look at Willow. If I could take back all the girls before her I would in a heartbeat. Even though Willow and I haven’t ever had sex, I would gladly take back my virginity if it meant I could have my first time be with her.

Willow had never met him, but Marcus told her he was a formidable force and to show him the same respect she afforded him. Then she sighs dramatically. “Well that’s disappointing.” Aretha steps forward again. “Say one more word.” Willow lifts her chin. “You’re too old for him.” Aretha lunges. Alexander grabs her instantly. “Whoa!” “Let me go!” “No!” I step between them calmly. And look directly at Willow. “You’re not exactly young yourself.” She frowns slightly. “…I’m two hundred years old, I'm older than you all.”

Reid It’s been a few hours now, and Willow hasn’t woken up yet. Her fingers were slightly frostbitten, but nothing severe and her ankle had a mild sprain that should heal in a few days if she rests enough. What worried the doctors were the fact that Willow is asthmatic, but she was out in the cold for over 5 hours. Her lungs were healing, and she was breathing independently, but she still hadn’t woken up. So here I was, sitting next to her hospital bed with her hand in mine and praying that she would wake up soon.

But every year, at the same time, one of her comrades delivered a pack of shortbread cookies. At 60, I taught my final class. Before the bell rang, I looked out toward the hillside. A flourishing willow tree stood there. My son lay beneath it. "Cyrus, Dad misses you." —The End

“I don't think Mommy will like that.” Willow is as happy as she’s ever been, but more often than not, birthdays make her sad. It hurts her to see Patrick and Mina with their three pups, the youngest being only two months old and born a Gamma. Likewise, Tully and Rosie went on to have five pups between them, yet The Goddess chose not to bless us with more pups. Every birthday is just a reminder to Willow that one more year had gone by and that she more than likely won’t have the large family she had dreamed of.

As we pulled away from the Crescent Moon packhouse nervousness and excitement both filled me not knowing what awaits me. “So, Willow, Alpha Conner tells me that you were one of the hybrids that stayed at Red Moon during the battle.” Beta Shawn says to me and I know he is trying to be nice to me and start a conversation. “Yes, I was only seventeen at the time.” I tell him and I can see he is doing the math in his head of how old I am now. “So, you are eighteen?” Beta Shawn asks. “I just turned nineteen yesterday.” I tell him and he quickly turns my way and says, “Well Happy Birthday Willow.” With a smile on his face and I wonder if all the wolves have amazing teeth like him.
