Will Bear the Moon

Will Bear the Moon

The question came quieter this time, her voice losing a shade of playfulness as it dipped into something with edges. Outside, the wind pressed against the windows with sudden violence, howling low and long like a wounded animal's warning. A flurry of snow blurred past the glass—fast, chaotic, blindingly white—as if the entire world was disappearing behind a veil, as if reality itself was being erased line by line.

I'm Stuck in Another World with an Idiot

I'm Stuck in Another World with an Idiot

I can see it through the window, at least. I stood up and approached the window beside my bed. I pushed away the curtains and... This is strange... It sounds absurd, but the world seems off. It's like something changed, and it isn't anything minor. The city is gone?! It can't change that much in a week! My head is turning my screws loose! The myriad of crammed straight lines that form the outline of the city is gone! All I see now is a long, curved line stretching the horizon and splits the view into two sides. The bottom side is entirely blue with patches of green and white, which look like clouds. While the top side is... pitch black?! Am I currently looking at the curvature of the earth?!

BEHIND GLASS WALLS

BEHIND GLASS WALLS

I announced. Since they were all so deep in the heat of the crisis, they completely erased the simple idea of the restoration of the website. Sometimes it takes outsider to see what’s right in front of you, I thought. “We’re going to restore the website, and everyone must be involved in this. Let’s get going, forty-five minutes in the clock”, Avery announced commanding authority like the boss he is. “Great. You can call me if any other issue arises.” I said wanting to take my leave since my work here was done.

The Witch's Window

The Witch's Window

I agreed and fell asleep quickly. It seemed like I wasn’t asleep for more than a few minutes when I was suddenly back in that room with my sister and now, two brothers. They were all shackled to the floor. I did notice that the window was no longer tall, but wide. One of them had turned the window sideways, and I know why. During the era of the Salem Witch Trials, the houses in the affected areas started being built with one window at an odd angle or sideways. It was called a Witch’s Window because a witch wouldn’t be able to fly through it on her broom. It was a human attempt to deter witches from entering their homes.

World of Tomorrow

World of Tomorrow

“While I’m intrigued by the thought of having you incapacitated and completely at my mercy, I’ve no interest in that involving any sort of pain. Now that you’re fed and medicated—.” His sentence cut off as abruptly as the wind and rain did. As if they could see overhead through the roof, they both looked up, then their gazes drifted towards the window. Outside, in the late pre-dawn hours, the world had ceased to be a hurricane and became a gray drizzly day.

I've barely been able to put this story down. I absolutely love it. I love how descriptive the story is. And it has made me want to have been able to go to that World's Fair. It is a beautiful love story and I can't wait to finish it.

I am only to Chapter 22, but this book is Amazing so far and by far my favorite. I love historical fiction and this piece is a gem. I read the Author's book about Grace and Juliet and just had to jump right into this one as some characters are the same.

The Luna's Law

The Luna's Law

*Poppy* I sat on the edge of my bed, staring out the window at the sprawling landscape beyond the mansion's walls. The sun was slowly sinking behind the distant mountains, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple. It was beautiful and captivating, but I found no solace in the view. My mind was a tangled mess of worry and frustration, and the weight of uncertainty pressed heavily on my chest.

Way Out: Owned by the Mafia Boss

Now it was just a matter of how deep I’d let it sink. I walked to the window again. Ran a finger down the crack in the glass. Just a hairline fracture—but it distorted everything behind it. Made the city look warped. Twisted. Beautiful, in a way. Just like us. I didn’t plan on staying long, but I couldn’t bring myself to leave. Not yet. Because even though I’d locked every door, shut down every exit— That goddamn window? It had never closed. Not for me. Not for him.

I Married My EX

I Married My EX

A sense of foreboding settled over her, and with cautious curiosity, she made her way to the window overlooking the moonlit landscape. Peering through the curtains, Jette's eyes widened at the surreal sight that unfolded beneath the silvery glow. A congregation of wolves, their eyes gleaming like orbs of amber in the darkness, had gathered just beyond the boundaries of their home. The air seemed charged with an unspoken energy, and an eerie stillness hung in the night.
