A wisp of fire slipped out of an embrasure and, growing and spreading wings, transformed into a giant blazing bird. Temujin made an uppercut and the fire bird shadowed his movements by first hovering like a crest affronté under the enemy ship’s bow and then streaking upwards with a raptorial screech and a fiery roar.
