The Shadow Effect

The Shadow Effect

Once they were settled in he whispered, "I will cast to you the memories that I have and then you can always ask more questions." Emma snuggled up to him and felt happier as his mood shifted and then she closed her eyes as he started to cast his memories to her. At first there was nothing but mist and whisps of clouds and within the center was a fire burning brightly. It was hard to look into the burning flames but almost imposible to look away. For upon the dias, stood a dragon that grew ever more powerful as the fire burned hotter. The smoke and flames appeared to form the dragon and his scales reflected the firelight. His scales were cerulean blue but shimmering in darkness they appeare

My Blood Wizard System

My Blood Wizard System

The river rose in a black tidal wave full of teeth. Thorne and I moved without speaking. I hurled fire (dragon fire, pure and white-hot) straight into the wave. Thorne’s shadows punched through it like spears. Where fire met shadow, the wave shattered into harmless mist. The girl’s smile faltered. We rose higher, wings beating in perfect sync, the Sanguis Draconis blazing between us like a newborn star. Every monster pouring from the rift turned toward us like we were magnets. Good. Let them come.

HEIR OF LIGHT

HEIR OF LIGHT

Derora finally did what no dark mage had been able to do, the ritual ties your essence to the veratus and unless you have an essence that came from the immortal spring of chaos, you'd literary burn to ashes. A loud roar from the abyss brought her attention back to it, in a burst of flame and smoke, darathos the dratero, a dragon like being that looked like a cross between a sea serpent and a dragon with its long but muscular body and obvious sentience flew out of the abyss. Its skeletal wings flapping with flames and fury, it blew fire from the flaming animal skull head it had and burned in the sky. Derora watched as it gave an ear piercing scream and dove down while landing on the soft eart

Great book. Just love the series as well as the others books by this Author. Cooper just has a way of writing and drawing you in to where you don't want to stop reading until you reach the end just as a great author should be :)

This book is a tear jerker, but also touching. It has a fabulous balance of adventure and emotion. All the pieces come together. Cooper set this series up with great skill. I could not read fast enough. Waiting for a chapter to post was brutal. Brilliant

TORN BETWEEN MATES

TORN BETWEEN MATES

My vision spins, but I push myself back up. I can’t stop now. The beast comes at me again. I close my eyes and dig deep. I feel the power inside me…the light, the fire, the part of me that’s growing stronger every day. I let it rise. My body lifts off the ground again, and this time, wings made of silver flames burst from my back. They shimmer like moonlight. I fly straight at the beast, dodging its claws and slamming a ball of fire into its head. It screams and stumbles, but still doesn’t fall.

The King of Caspian

The King of Caspian

She obeyed, jumping up again, avoiding the dragon's tail and spikes as she dug her claws into the wings tearing the thin skin to shreds. Kyra was thrown off again, this time not catching herself fast enough before slamming into the ground. But just as quickly as the pain had come, it was gone. We stared at the gigantic beast before us, blood pouring from its wings and neck. Her eyes were no longer of use. She reared her head back, and I knew I was coming. "Move. Move. Move." I shouted as Delmira's dragon opened her mouth, blindly blowing fire in every direction. "Shit. Shit. Shit." Kyra hissed as the heat of the flames burned her skin, singeing her fur.

Fire Chronicles

Fire Chronicles

I was a dragon. Fire breathing. Flying. Awesome. Dragon. The pain I'd suffered was but a memory. Thoughts swirled through my mind. I would never leave Bastian behind. We would be together for all eternity. I swooped down to the lake like I'd seen Bastian do a hundred times to skim my talons through the water. I over calculated and too much of my body hit the surface. My wing caught and I tumbled, rolling across the top before sinking under.

Wings, Beasts and Claws

Wings, Beasts and Claws

Calix nodded along, his little brow knitted together as if he were focusing very hard on the story. “They soon started to fight amongst the others for her love, even turning against each other when one would succeed. The fighting soon grew out of hand and the young adults were now hurting each other, drawing blood as The All Mother tried and failed to keep the peace. Soon, four different factions divided her children and they each claimed land as far from each other as they could, no longer wanting to be a family. The Shifter birds followed the golden brown dragon, settling on a very large island after drifting off at sea. The Shifter bears followed the silver grey dragon and picked a land t

Alpha Dragon

Alpha Dragon

Smoke and fire came into view first. Yeah right, a dragon loved his chosen-not! This red creature was a demon. Its fifty-foot wingspan held my gaze. Large talons on the tips of his wings matched the size of the claws on each appendage. Heat radiated above us as he swooped around in a circle. He looked to have metal plates covering his flesh, or was it even flesh? I'd give him points for lethal grace. Every inch of him cried warrior, top of the food chain, dominant species. The townspeople prostrated themselves. We, in our white dresses, stood tall, though my knees knocked together and I knew the others were as terrified as I was. We clasped hands. Julia and Chersa on either side of me. I cou

The Alpha's Dragon

The Alpha's Dragon

His lips parted. “Forgive m—” The word broke apart with his breath, his eyes dimmed as his fire guttered out. The desert's sky was aflame with war Lastly, Merenrys saw her last born, Feglr, move through like a the wind. His roar rolled for leagues, fire streamed from his jaws in ribbons thick as rivers, curling through the enemy ranks. Each burst turned the horizon into a burning sea of wings and screech. Suddenly, the air grew heavy, the light bending until even Feglr’s fire seemed to drown in it. Then the temperature dropped—so fast his breath froze mid-flame. The demon dragons above tore apart, and something vast stepped through.
