"Xavier, what do you want for Christmas this year?" "Christmas? Seriously?" Xavier shook his head, ushering him into his home. "You poor thing. You've lost it. We haven't celebrated Christmas as a family for years. What is your pretty little wife doing to you?" "Very funny." Grayson slid out of his overcoat and hung it in the coat closet, as did his brother. "No, I'd like to celebrate at the castle with father and you as a family this year." "Okay. You need a drink... now," Xavier joked as he crossed the room to the bar, pulled two On the Rocks glasses out from underneath, and made them both Scotches straight up. Then held one out to Grayson. "Here. Drink this."

This marriage with Winnie is teaching me a lot of things, but maybe the biggest one is that it’s okay to take a break every now and then. “It’s kind of late at this point to plan it, but next year, you guys should come over for Christmas. Sutten is beautiful during that time of year. There are lights everywhere. All of the main street has lights and ribbons, and there’s always snow on Christmas. It’s so magical.” “That sounds amazing!” Winnie says eagerly, looking back to me for confirmation.

It was a Christmas of firsts for both Felix and Cassie. For Felix, this was the first time that his house had ever been decorated for Christmas. In the past, he had put up a plastic miniature tree if he remembered and while Hazel had still been alive, she had put up a menorah for the December festivities. Now, the decorations started right from the gates to the mansion, with the pathway leading to the house lined with colorful reindeer figurines, giant candy canes and plastic snowmen. The house was decked in strings of flashing Christmas lights that Felix was certain would be visible from space.

When all the gifts were sorted to their rightful owners Jaxsen paused. “Do we open them at the same time or one at a time?” “Go ahead and open yours first, Jack,” Sebastian told him. He watched as Jaxsen opened each one, his excitement growing with every one. Sebastian had gone all out, as had Nizhoni in buying Jaxsen’s Christmas. “Wow!” Jaxsen exclaimed as the picture display on the box came into view. At that moment Nizhoni snapped a picture. Sebastian smiled. “What is it you’ve got there, Jack?” He knew full well what it was.

But with the assurance from everyone and Jace unending love, she had no choice but to enjoy the process. The past months have been quite eventful; Nina has put X&J Foods at the top of the chain, and sales have skyrocketed like they are the only ones in the industry. Then there was Winter, who fell sick three months back, the same month she had clocked a year. Due to her health, they couldn’t celebrate her birthday. But now that she is better, everyone is gathered to celebrate with them, except Xander.

“Glad to hear he’s a good guy. Chance-" She laughed cutting off Werewolf. “Is fun to flirt with, but I doubt he wants anything to do with a single mom of three.” “He loves single moms.” Werewolf corrected. “You have proof that you put out.” “Well, I’ll keep that in mind. Is he really as bad as everyone says?” “If not worse.” Toad said dryly. “What are your plans for Christmas?” Werewolf asked. “It’s going to be whatever Repeat can afford and what we get through Angel Tree. I had saved a little bit of money that I used on black Friday.” She shrugged. “Thankfully, they’re little and hopefully won’t remember it.”

Julia I stand back and watch Riley and Nina put the final touches on the Christmas tree, and then he pulls out a Christmas angel to sit on the top. "Would you like to put this on the top of the tree, Princess?" Nina is still bouncing on her toes. I swear the girl hasn’t stopped since she found out that we had the tree.

Lachesis giggles, “Well, it looks like Damon found the female version of himself.” Ana laughs, “I could've told everyone that.” Misha lightly smacks Ana on the shoulder, “Hey, I'm not that bad.” Ana laughs harder, “You so are!” “Well go, we will see you again at the wedding,” Lachesis says. Misha snaps, “There isn't going to be a wedding!” Lachesis shrugs, “As you wish.” Then she winks at me. Oh, there'll be a wedding. I just have to convince Misha to marry me on Christmas. We say farewell and Misha ports us back to their house. Misha turns to me, “Now let's talk!”
