Then tossed her phone onto the bed and poured herself a glass of cheap red wine. Next week, she'd have her bags packed, ready to head to Maysville, the small town she'd grown up in for Christmas. Her holiday plan was just perfect! Her playlist hummed to life; jazzy, lazy Christmas tunes filling the air. For the first time all day, her shoulders relaxed. She even started humming along, thinking about what tomorrow morning would look like. Morning pancakes, bad movies, Darren’s laugh…

I stared out the floor to ceiling glass windows of the boardroom, my eyes fixated on white flakes of snow drifting down from the sky. The sight only further deepened my scowl, to some, the sight of the first snow would have been a magical thing but it only served as a reminder of the impending holiday. Christmas. “Ms Wilson,” I snapped out of my thoughts and swiveled my chair back to face my employees seated around the large oval table at the sound of my name.

It was a custom at the Winchester family to always give the younger members monetary gifts during this time of year as a blessing for their winter break.

Lachesis giggles, “Well, it looks like Damon found the female version of himself.” Ana laughs, “I could've told everyone that.” Misha lightly smacks Ana on the shoulder, “Hey, I'm not that bad.” Ana laughs harder, “You so are!” “Well go, we will see you again at the wedding,” Lachesis says. Misha snaps, “There isn't going to be a wedding!” Lachesis shrugs, “As you wish.” Then she winks at me. Oh, there'll be a wedding. I just have to convince Misha to marry me on Christmas. We say farewell and Misha ports us back to their house. Misha turns to me, “Now let's talk!”

Winter’s POV My fingers clicked hurriedly through the keyboard. Today was my last day in the office before I go for my finally awaited one-month holiday break. I paused to zoom in on the picture displayed on my laptop, a picture of Nolan Smith, my boyfriend. “Your boyfriend?” A voice breathed near my ear, startling me. My fingers flew to the touchpad, fumbling to close the tab. “It's so nice to be young and in love,” My chief editor, Mrs Quinn, leaned against my desk.
