"What? Why would it not be okay? Just do it." And right in front of me, she let Finley zip up her dress and walked out, linking her arm with him intimately. I knew she was trying to provoke me. In the past, seeing her act so close to Finley would've driven me mad—I'd have stopped her from leaving. Now, I felt nothing but calm. Late that night, I was suddenly woken by a call. It was Joyce's best friend, Queenie Stone. "Harry, Joyce's drunk—come get her at the Imperial Club!"

Empty bottles littered his feet, with amber liquid soaking into the rug in dark stains. At the sound of the door, he lifted his head. Moonlight poured through the floor-to-ceiling windows, illuminating his bloodshot eyes. Those eyes, once sharp as an eagle's, now held nothing but exhaustion. "Why didn't you stop me?" Emma's grip tightened on her phone. The screen still showed the headline about the Coleman Group's crashing stock. Wesley gave a low chuckle, his Adam's apple bobbing. He tried to stand, staggered, and braced himself against the coffee table. "This is what I owe you."

River’s POV “Just because I fucked you in the club drunk doesn’t mean I like my women tipsy, River.” He was furious, but the alcohol made me feel no sense of alarm toward his tone. “So you don’t want me…” I took a huge gulp from the wine bottle until it was empty, placing it back on the vanity table. “I…” A belch left my lips. “I wore this for you, Mr. Storm.” His hand went to pinch the bridge of his nose. Why is he making a fuss about this?

I didn’t want to make Roman feel uncomfortable, even after hearing the conversation between him and Santos. Roman thanked Carrie and took a seat beside Santos, they began speaking between themselves about some new VIP club due to open in the city, apparently Roman will be providing the security for the club. Carrie, Sadie and I were talking about shopping, we decided we would have a full day of shopping one day next week. Sadie was telling us where the best shops are, she loved fashion, I could see why she gets on so well with Carrie. “Why don’t we have a few people round tonight, to welcome you properly” Carrie said smiling at me.

I finish with John and grab my wine and head to the office, he will talk to me before I leave this club. I watch as he walks in and speaks with John and sits at the bar looking at the entrance as John walks towards it. When Sasha appears, my blood boils with rage and Storm is more on board with killing her first and asking questions later. I head for the door and open it when I hear her yelling at Christov. I shout out, “STOP right there!” I position myself in front of him, his scent surrounds me, as I put my hands on my hips glaring daggers at the woman who dares to yell at him.

"Mom, I just didn't want you to worry. We reinforced our windows ages ago. There's no way she could have been swept away by the hurricane. How could Heather be so difficult? I can't believe she even got you lying to me. She's truly lost it." Faced with his stubbornness, Cynthia was at a loss for words. That was until she spotted Charlotte standing behind him. "So that's why! I didn't understand why you'd abandoned your wife and child—it's because she's back." Charlotte boldly stepped forward and greeted politely, "Hello, Mrs. Keane." "Don't call me that, I can't stand it." Cynthia averted her gaze, displeased to see her. "Mom, what are you doing? Lottie is my friend. Why are you being mean?"

Alpha-king Magnus initiated the discussion to help ease the tension in the atmosphere. “Oh, we are from the Stormclaw clan. The only Clan made of strong Warriors.” Laura answered, proudly. “Ice crest also have strong warriors.” Anita chimed in. “Well, Stormclaw is the clan whose warriors are the strongest.” “You might be right though but Ice crest had the strongest warriors, that's why in so many years, we haven't lost a single war. I bet no one knows Stormclaw exists.” Anita retorted. Watching them, I didn't know which of them was actually more childish and knowing the both of them, none of them would voluntarily end this argument.
