We burst into the corridor together, my mind racing. The pack is already in chaos. Warriors pour from their quarters, half-shifted, weapons drawn. Fires blaze at the borders, lighting up the treeline in flickering orange. Then I see them. Creatures crawl out of the shadows with enlongated claws, bodies alien like, shaped like wolves but warped, their bodies too long, eyes glowing an unnatural violet. Dark symbols burn into their fur, pulsing with magic. Witchcraft. My stomach drops. “They’re not attacking randomly,” Antonio shouts from afar, eyes wide with terror. “They’re moving toward the Alpha’s wing!”

They fought with a fierce spirit but they were overpowered. It was a fight of Witches, werewolves and vampires against humans. It was a fierce battle but the humans won. They had the weapons and the witches, werewolves and others had the magic, given to them by the devil. “You need to live, Lucia! Live! Live!" Those were her mother's last words to her before she died. It's been fourteen years but it still echoed in her ears and sent chills down her spine. Before I can answer, Jock and Trevor walk into the office. "Trevor, we know Cressida has a large group of rogues. Is she doing anything to them?" A blood-curdling scream rang throughout the hallway as we approached the door to his room, causing me to stop dead in my tracks. She couldn't outrun him, even she should know that.

People are scrambling and running towards the forest to hide. I zoom in on what everyone is frightened of and it makes me want to vomit. There are these weird looking creatures that appear to have various features from a bird, feline, bear and wolf. Maybe human too? There eyes are completely black. Some have three arms or two heads and their flesh smells as though it is rotting. Whatever they are I don’t think they are truly alive. “Kale!” “On it Katerina, get Cedar and Joy out of here!”
