And yet. "S-Stop this..." she panted. Zalakai's eyes narrowed as he looked her over again. Scars covered her body, but not as dark as the ones on her back. She had said nothing else about admitting her "Father" was the one to cause her harm. He couldn't recall anything about her parents. He knew she was an orphan at a young age, but nothing else from that. Tattoos covered her arms, her chest, her sternum and her neck. Tribal. Old traditional tattoos decorated her throat. Tribal lined her collarbone and sternum. Both of her arms were full of water colored art with what appeared to have proverbs quoted in spots. Her ribs were also inked. Her right side was with a Phoenix and the left side with

Liam asked impatiently. River exhaled sharply, his jaw tightening. He leaned back and flicked his gaze to the rest of us, his expression grim. He motioned toward the captive’s tongue. Nausea crawled in my gut when I realized that there was some odd symbol attached on their mouth—as if it was burned there: a star inside a cicrle. “The witch’s mark,” River stated while looking at corpses’ tongues. “They’re cursed. If they try to speak about the location of their headquarters, they—”

Perhaps the recent events were showing her a rather depressing answer. She just smiled down at the eagle tattoo that she had on her right wrist. It had the savanna skyline wrapped around like the band, while the eagle head was in the center. The lion tattoo on Gryphon’s arm did survive long enough for it to show properly, and she hoped for it to stay as long as it would. Ten years more… and perhaps, along with their wedding vows, they could retouch their wedding tattoos.

They probably don't know me, and they won't believe anything I say without me showing them my Night Walker symbol. Luckily, I didn't get rid of my symbol as the Night Walker's pack member when I left the pack eleven years ago. The symbol is a moon shape mark given to any child wolf born in the Night Walker's pack. I got mine in my left wrist, humans thought it was tatoo and some of them adored it. Without this mark, it will be hard for me to walk past this boundary, so I'm glad I didn't erase it. Yes, it can be erased but once you erase it, you will be turned into a rogue.

Blood covered part of his arm. “The eastern border! Everyone turned immediately. What happened? Logan asked sharply. The warrior struggled to catch his breath. We found bodies. The room froze instantly. What bodies? Xavier asked. Pack scouts.” A cold feeling moved through my chest. The warrior swallowed hard before continuing. There were symbols carved into them. The witch’s expression changed immediately. What symbols? The warrior looked shaken. Silver marks. Nobody spoke after that. The witch closed her eyes briefly like she already understood what it meant.

"I do not seek revenge. I only seek restoration." "What is that supposed to mean?" The witch's eyebrow shot up. It was as if my reply surprised her. She paused for a moment and continued drawing her sigils. As I stared on, I noticed in the middle where I sat, was a sigil that looked more like a butterfly of some sort. What the hell was this woman doing, I wondered. I looked across the room to where Satake was tied up, a similar sigil was below him connected by a series of interlocking circles and one straight line that connected to my side.

Her slender fingers grasping it even more tightly, the Witch made a motion as if stabbing herself with the thin rod into the back of her shoulder. In obvious agony and shaking violently from the pain, Chiri fell to her knees shortly afterward. Preserving in carrying out the entirety of this brutal ritual, she pressed it into her skin until the wand crumbled way in her hands. Leaving a deep aggravated burn etched onto her left shoulder. The mark was one Allen had seen before; it was in the shape of an ‘X’. Arrows and circles surrounding the intersected lines, they resembled two crossed arrows.

“There are some places in California I’d like to check out too, like Laguna Beach, for body-surfing, body-boarding, diving, and tide-pooling.” “A thrill-seeker, huh?” He grinned. “That I am.” I pointed to his tattoo, solid black, with curves that ended in points and interlocked in complex patterns and abstract designs. “Tell me more about that. I noticed it the first day at work, but I was too embarrassed to ask.” He lifted his short sleeve. “Oh. Well, this is the symbol of strength, power, and bravery.”

"Yeah, have it?" Skoteinó chuckled and removed his white smiley mask that revealed the tattoos on his face. The tattoo that attracts Raverine the most is the official insignia of Die Dark — a smiling skull with a bloody fang. The tattoos were all over his dark-toned face. He also had piercings on his nose and lip — a typical look of an outlaw.

“This is completely new territory for me.” My eyes betray me. They drag over his bare chest, his abs, the way his pants sit low on his hips. And I feel my stomach tighten at the sight of his tattoos — ink and meaning and temptation. A yin-yang with hearts instead of dots and the number thirteen at its center, about the size of a big coin, is on his left side underneath his arm. Curling above it is the Peter Pan lettering — Sniff pixie dust and soar — in a cursive font. And on his bicep — the Reaper logo stamped on like a warning label.
