Jax asked when he finally entered the room. We both took turns giving Jax the rundown of our meeting. He like me was just as surprised at the variety of supernatural species that lived within Dublin. Half of them I never even knew were real, like the Merrow. Merrows are what the normies call a mermaid, except in cartoons they depict them as beautiful and innocent little women with a love for collecting shiny things. Well, Ariel aint got shit on a real Merrow, that’s for sure. Merrows are beautiful both in the sea and on dry land but they are also known for being quite vicious when they feel cornered or when someone tries to stake claim to something that is theirs.

It would only get worse if she saw him like this… Trent returned his gaze to the river and suddenly froze. “The hell?! No one warned me that there’s a mermaid in the river!” he cried out. Eilam Walker gave him a scornful look. “Could you be quieter? Don’t scare away my fish!” “Why are you still fishing?! Look! There’s a woman in the water! Is it a mermaid?!” He sounded serious, so the others also looked into the water. It was just as he said, there was a woman in the clear water!

Soon, I heard her beckoning me to her. My transformation subsides, and I enter the water enchanted by her voice. Now, next to her, Chiara's angry growl jolts me out of my trance, and this mermaid attacks me. As I begin to morph, I'm defenseless against this brutal attack. Chiara dives into the water and detains the mermaid, giving me time to change. I'm now a werewolf, and I gut this mermaid like the fish she is. Watching me devour, her friend, Chiara, soon joins me.

“No there isn’t a mermaid, but there is a mate of a mermaid on this jet. Your warrior Hunter has traces of the ocean in his blood. He isn’t a merman but he is still connected to us.” Warlus said looking at a shocked Hunter who shook his head. “What aren’t you talking about? Didn’t you say that we hadn’t finished the mating process yet? So how do I have traces of the ocean in my body?” Hunter said in disbelief. “I don’t know, Merpeople have never mated with landers before. We didn’t know about our first queen being a human, as I said, the ocean God erased many parts of our history. We all figured that his first mate had died during childbirth. The Merdoc could only guess that when the Ocean G

“Dragon of the Spiral Flame. But you can just call me Pyr.” “And I am Serenthia,” the mermaid said, bowing slightly. “Once Guardian of the Drowned Gate. Now your… guide.” “Great,” Jimmy mumbled. “So we’ve got fashion-forward witches, a sassy dragon, and a glittering fish queen. And what, you all decided to hijack time and toss us back into pajama land?” “It was either that,” Pyrion said, “or let you be devoured by your other self.” Silence.

But he was also in his werewolf state and all his higher functioning was clearly on pause in those moments. "Yes, I suppose it does. Since we have no other leads on Aiden at this time. Let him come to us." Grandpa Jerry leads me to the room where the royal dresser takes my hand. A rather dull mermaid with spectacles swims at me. Meredith, the mermaid seamstress herself. "Hello, your royal highness. I'm so thrilled I will get to measure you today. Leave Jerry, she's in good hands." The sniveling guard that stepped aside from my prison cell swims outside the door. Waiting for my session with the dresser to end. I try on clothing after clothing. Fabric after fabric. Dress after dress.

The water lit up enough I watched as the small fish that lived inside it swam around them. As they swam up the stream the edge of the water that collected around a large rock began to bubble up. It morphed and splashed until beginning to take on a more human-like shape. The water shimmered as it fell down around the figure and the top half of a blue woman rose up. She looked absolutely beautiful, sparkling and morphing with the sway of the stream. The orbs started circled her and she began to sing to them. They lit up brighter and disappeared into her shape slowly one by one. I noticed as they disappeared more began floating towards the woman.

Renan Folder She was there, standing before me, and I felt like the most powerless man alive. I couldn’t save her. She was Meridian, but at the same time, she wasn’t. She looked more like a demon than a wolf. She had rejected our origins. But something wouldn’t leave my mind... Even though she probably didn’t remember us, she still wore the Moon Pendant—the symbol of our pack. How? Why? Could she remember and have chosen the other side?

" I cried , Struggling to swim . Amelia shifted back into her normal form , and came close to where I was struggling for my life . She stood over me triumphantly , with a wide grin on her face . From a distance, I saw a tail flutter once before it disappeared into the dark waves of the ocean. She’d disappeared into the fucking ocean! I slapped myself. Wake up, Hunter! It’s a dream. I slapped myself even harder. Wake up goddamnit! But this was reality. It wasn’t a dream at all. Whatever that I’d witnessed a few minutes ago had actually happened which proved Blue wasn’t lying. It also meant that she wasn’t mentally ill. She hadn’t known these simple human ethics because she hadn’t been from here. She really was a mermaid. Those beautiful half fish, half women species we’d always heard about and thought of it as a myth.
