“A witch?” I asked in surprise, glancing at both Helena and Jackson. “Hello,” I said politely. She didn’t resemble the witches from fairy tales—she seemed more like a kind fairy from Cinderella than an evil enchantress.
“Let’s go inside, and I’ll explain everything you need to know,” Jackson said.
We sat in the fireplace room, where I had already heard unbelievable stories before. Last time, I learned about werewolves. Today, I was discovering that witches also existed. I even chuckled a little. How had I ever believed werewolves were the only magical beings in this world?
