I flipped open the lid of the book and didn't know what the fuck. "What's this?" It looked like a photo album filled with girls, young girls. I started to relax a little, thinking that the shit had to do with my cause, which was rescuing young kids from fucked up situations and the twisted adults that were supposed to care for them, and nothing at all to do with my babygirl, until I saw her face looking back at me.

The moment my eyes were open, I looked around to take hold of the room I was in. “But how did i get here” I remember taking the book off its stand at the command of Sybill, a sister I hadn’t known I had. And with that thought, my eyes fixated on the book, it had golden covers and was so big and heavy, I had to carry it with both my hands.

A sigh of relief escaped my lips, seeing the rest of the content in English inside. However, my relief was short-lived as a sudden gust of air swept into the room, tugging my hair all over my face. Before me, the pages of the book fluttered in a haphazard symphony, flipping back and forth as if seeking to reveal the tantalizing secrets it held. Perhaps it did. Because two ruby eyes stared at me from inside the open page, and above it written in big, bold letters was... Lycans.

But that wasn't what got my attention. Right at the center of the mess was something glittery and thick— It looked really important. Brielle wasn't one to own books and keep them around; they weren't important. At this point, I could hear the ringing of my work heartbeat in my ears as I closed my eyes briefly. No, I shouldn’t. I knew I shouldn’t. But it was already open. The book was already open. And I was already in front of it before I could stop myself. I picked it up and narrowed my eyes when I realized that the page it was open on had fresh ink together with today's date.

Now, Mom staggered into the place where I'd drawn my last breath, feeling her legs give out beneath her. She collapsed to her knees and pressed her hand over her mouth, spilling tears over the floor. My eyes shone when I saw that it was the book of the devil. "What's your na---" I would have asked the beggar, but when I raised my head, I didn't see any other creatures in that alley. It still puzzles me who that man is, but I didn't focus on that anymore. Importantly, I already have the book! *End of flashback* The book is stored in a safe and sealed area. No one can see or get that. That book contains all the secrets of how I will succeed in conquering the world.
