Third Wheel
“The guys need it to unload the boat.”
After some discussion, Kennedy and Madison offer to stay behind while the rest of us shop. I grab my keys, then drive Reagan and Martha ten minutes to the nearest grocery store. It’s the same company as Jackson’s store. I’m amazed how this store resembles his. I push a cart of my own.
“I’ll get the alcohol, then find you in the grocery aisles,” I inform the ladies.
I buy bottles of whiskey and rum for the guys, then a bottle of flavored vodka the ladies. I place three types of beer in my cart, then select a variety of wine. I finish with some sugary sweet mixers for the women, then set out to find Reagan and Martha.
