The Wolf's Revenge
The journey back to Shadow Creek was a triumph.
Seraphina walked at the head of the procession, her head held high, her body free of the corruption that had nearly consumed her. The ancient power pulsed beneath her skin, stronger than ever, transformed by her sacrifice and her victory.
Behind her walked Dane, his hand never far from hers. And beside them walked the white wolf, his silver fur gleaming in the sunlight, a living symbol of the First Wolves' blessing.
The pack had gathered to greet them. When they saw Seraphina approaching, a cheer erupted that seemed to shake the very mountains. Wolves rushed forward, their faces streaked with tears of joy and relief.
