The blue moon is a very deadly weapon against both werewolves and vampires, because on each blue moon, the rays of the moon eradicate the race of the werewolves and vampires. Prophecy tells that on the night of the blue moon, the most powerful vampire and the most powerful werewolf must come together in order to save the lives of their kind.
