Writing Mythology Novels & Stories

Adrian had heard about the myth. Several heroic stories had been added to it. Legend spoke of ancient times when humans faced dire situations. Despite having the upper hand compared to other beings, it was the Creator who truly conquered the world. The Creator treated humans as if they were His slaves—lambs to His will. Humans had to obediently yield to His suppression. Meanwhile, Celestial Drago led humans in a rebellion, ultimately overthrowing the Creator's rule. This marked the inception of the first civilization, and he began spreading his teachings.

All this political and religious struggle, accompanied by fierce battles of people of different cults and dark creatures, this gave a powerful platform for stable beliefs in gods, in the future, religion changed and acquired mythology invented by people. The great werewolves, led by their armies, staged horrific battles at night with the most ancient vampires, Vampires were much smaller, but their power was overwhelming. Vampire pride and deep faith in their unquestioning power played a cruel joke with them. The werewolves then prevailed, though at the cost of heavy losses.

The little girl obeyed eagerly, discovering a title written in strange swirling letters across the center of the page. “Mom, what does it say? I can’t read yet…” Disappointed that she couldn’t decipher it on her own, she pouted softly and curled up against her mother’s chest. Her mother smiled tenderly and began reading aloud. “It says: Lycanthropic Myths and Legends. My dear, this book was written a very long time ago, and every wolf must own a copy. It tells of the origins of werewolves,the first transformation, our laws, and even the sacred bond of soulmates.”

"Continue working on your group projects. Presentations are on Friday." Mr. Nelson sat at his desk, and chatter picked up as students formed groups. Riley turned to me. "Ready to dive in, Jane?" "Sure. What are we working on?" "The Great Moon Goddess and the beginning of everything," she said, handing me a textbook. Sometimes, late at night, I thought about the Madrigals. About fae and dragons and mythics that blurred the line between story and truth. About bloodlines powerful enough to be hunted—or hidden. If I was one of them, it explained things I’d never had words for. The way music felt like language instead of sound. The way certain places hummed under my skin. It didn’t explain why I’d been left behind. Maybe that part didn’t matter. I wasn’t sure yet whether being mythic meant destiny—or just survival with better adjectives.

You make it sound like you were there. When you talk about them, I feel like I’m listening to a good gossip sit down at the local bar.” I burst into laughter.
