Spader growls. “Look at me, Kitten,” I say to her. She looks into my eyes, a look of resignation on her face as he peels off her torn dress. She's left in her underwear. “You see, if I bite you, and it doesn't kill you, you'll need all these clothes off. See what I'm doing for you?”

I would, I would fucking do it in seconds. Me: Your move, Kitten. The text bubble dances across the screen and then disappears again. I glance over at the time, an hour and thirty minutes before it’s dinner time. The bubble comes back up and a text follows. Kittenxo: why? Is she shitting me right now? Why? Because fuck Gianna, you’re the only woman I ever fucking think about. The only one I’ve ever wanted. Me: I like you. True. Kittenxo: you don’t even know me.

“There, so beautiful.” I hold the end of the leash and give a tug, pulling her off the chair and down to her knees. She gasps, grabbing her neck in horror. “Is this—is this…?” She was on the verge of hyperventilating. “Breathe. You're hardly a pet without a collar. Be on your best manners, Kitten, and I won't tug too hard.”

And that's when I hear the unmistakable sound of a kitten. I stop in my tracks and peek to see the most adorable thing ever. Jaxon feeding a white kitten wrapped in a grey sweater. His bicep flexes as he keeps his large hand steady against the kitten's little mouth. He's smiling down at her, looking all big and heroic. My heart switches places with my stomach.

Shaking her head, she made to continue moving. “Hello, Little Kitten.” Amber’s heart skipped a beat and she froze. Could it be?

She told us. “Kitten, are you trying to ask for another kitten?” I asked. “Not exactly. One of the kittens is grey with darker grey stripes. She looks like a little tiger, but she was also born without a tail and is half as big as the others. She was also born without one eye. Gloria’s sister told Zoe that the veterinarian told her that it was a natural birth defect and that the kitten is healthy otherwise, but they don’t think anyone would want her because of how she looks.” Taelin added.

So Carlo was right… Slamming down the thought of Carlo and his insults, I focus on the kitten. “Okay, let’s get a look at you, sweetie. Oh good, the burn isn’t as bad as it could be. You are so lucky. Ah, oops, you’re a girl.” I run my hands gently over the kitten, watching her for any reaction of pain to my touch. A sigh of relief leaves me when she doesn’t meow in pain. Studying her, she’s pure black, not a spot of color on her.

- I should wash the blood off. as I opened the shower and warm water trailed my skin I felt my muscles getting relaxed. After taking a quick shower I came out of the washroom in my bathrobe and Sat on the couch. I opened my laptop just to witness my secretary have already mailed me the footages, - Man, he isn't that bad. I played the footages on fast forward as I observed everyone. and there it was, My kitten. Dressed up in a knee length White skirt and a baby pink tank top. she looked heavenly.

She wasn't dreaming anymore; she was living her dream. Meanwhile, in New York, something different was happening. At the Davenport Studio construction site, Chloe brushed dust off her jeans and noticed a small kitten weaving through the stacks of materials. The little kitten, gray with a white-tipped tail, meowed sadly and rubbed against her shoe. Aren't you brave? Chloe said, kneeling down. She extended her hand, and the kitten quickly climbed onto her palm, purring loudly. When Sebastian arrived to pick her up, Chloe had the kitten close to her chest.

She squatted in front of it and patted its fur softly. The kitten leaned closer for more touch and pat. "I guess you're lonely, just like me," she mumbled and gently carried the kitten in her arms, still patting. "It's a female. Wow, cute. Do you have a name?" she asked, as if the cat could talk. "Let's give you a name then. How about... uhm... Whitey?" The kitten didn't make a sound. "I guess you don't like the name. What about... Lolly? Like Lollipop, Lolly?"
