The guards bristled at the slight movement, pressing their spears closer to him. Xavier raised a hand, halting their movements. I watch as Peter reveals a coiled snake tattoo, just below his ear. I've seen it a couple of times. I never thought it meant anything. But watching as Alpha Xavier stiffens, a momentary look of hesitation in his eyes, I realize that I couldn't have been more wrong.

“They’ve been quiet for months.” “Not anymore.” “Who?” “No name—just’ The Spider.’ Only he calls himself that.” Xander pressed a finger to my lips. “You’re safe. Decided. You're mine.” I looked at him—hard, fierce. “Don’t make me question everything,” I growled. He drew me close. “I won’t. But someone inside helped him. He got past every guard. Even your personal sentinel.” A slow burn of fury churned. “They’ll pay.”

“What’s funny?” “Spider isn’t a ‘she’,” Mac explained. Curtis, Dillon, and Luke blinked, and despite the gravity of the mess, the other men grinned as they watched the penny drop. “So… wait a minute,” Luke said slowly, since it was clear that Dillon and Curtis – both of whom rarely spoke at the best of times – were struck utterly mute. “So… so… Spider is a man?” “Yep,” Mac said. “Complete and total.” “And Spider is Ace’s ex? His jaw was bruised, with bloodstains all over his white pants and shirt. “Zara...” Xavier murmured. I returned my attention to Xavier and stared at him for a few seconds. He looked less beaten than Peter, but there were still multiple wounds on his body. Sighing, I looked back at Peter, my voice loud enough for everyone to hear. “I guess the fight is over. The Alpha and I will retire to our room now and get ready for the day.” With that, I grabbed Xavier’s hand and forced him to follow me. Until we reached the room, we didn’t utter a word to each other.

His voice was so strong and echoed inside my head. Instantly, the pressure in my chest disappeared. When I opened my eyes, Raff was already attacking the spider monster. Raff in his wolf form. They wrestle. Raff pounced on Spider-Man's neck until his head broke off and rolled onto the sloping ground. After that, both the head and the body that were separated suddenly turned into sparkling dust and were swept away in the air. "Wh-what creatures, are they really?" I tried to sit with my breath in between watching all the terrible sights. Raff's face looked so scary. The five spider monsters surrounded him from all sides. They hissed and attacked Raff together.

XD said as Xander turned to grin at him. “Watch out!” XD yelled as he pointed in front of him but it was too late as a thud was heard and the car skidded to a stop. “Fuck….was that a cat?” Xander asked as he put off his seat belt and got out of the car. “That was too big to be a cat.” XD replied as he got out into the pouring rain and walked in front where he saw a man unconscious with a phone in his hand. *****
