I say thoughtfully, earning a grin from the three of them. Lina suddenly changes the subject, pulling out her phone. "Oh, girls, read this. I was reading some smut last night, and I can’t figure out how... they were even positioned." She hands me the phone, and we huddle together to read the passage, Charlotte still on my lap, Hannah leaning in, and Lina half-turned on the table. The text is a tangle of limbs and dominance:

At least I hope he is. When I finish the burrito, I lean back on the couch and grab my e-reader from the coffee table. A new book in my favorite Boy Band series released a few days ago, and I've waited to start. Every woman who reads romance has her favorite genre. Billionaires, vampires, sports stars, the list goes on and on, but for me it's musicians. Moody rockers to be precise. I'd never date one in real life... well except the DJ incident a few months ago. In reality, musicians are way too moody. But in books I get the best parts of them without having to live with drug overdoses and the cheating.

She looked up at him and gave him a sly smile trying to convince him. [Book is ending in 6 chapters] Claimed by my alpha bully - SOON

I flipped back, carefully examining the pages until I got back to the page that was titled: Xavier. ‘He looks so hot.’ I slipped my fingers in between the pages and closed the book; did I just hallucinate that? I opened it again, confirming it. ‘I want him to touch me, to fondle me in places no one has ever seen.’ A small groan escaped me when I felt blood rush into a certain part of my body. ‘His fingers tweak my nipples, and his tongue in my mouth.’ I snapped the book shut, because right now, my head are filled so many indecent thoughts, and I could visualize doing all these things to her.

Rhea said, her tone lazy but laced with razor-edged disdain, “If you were any more desperate, I’d have to offer you a tissue so you could wipe your brain, maybe then, you would be able to think better.” Xander blinked. I turned, just slightly, to see her wheel herself forward without hesitation. Her expression was unreadable, that cool, aloof face she wore like armor, but her eyes, her eyes were on fire. Xander’s smile returned, “Desperate? For what, sweetheart?” Rhea tilted her head, folding her arms loosely over her chest, “Oh, come on. Don’t play dumb. Your actions are screaming louder than your mouth ever could.” He raised an eyebrow, intrigued, “And what exactly are they screaming?”

“I am afraid there is no cure for Mad Wolf disease, Xyrra. I am truly sorry.” °°°°°°° Author Note: Dear Gentle Readers, what do you think of Alpha Sinclair and the Night Walkers? Xander even dropped his fork in shock. “You read?” If Xander’s eyes could pop out of their sockets at that moment, I believe that they would have rolled away already. “Of course, I do. What’s with that reaction?” I frown at him. “You don’t even read your textbook.” “Has anyone ever told you that textbooks and novels are not the same thing?” Since it’s Xander, I can imagine that he reads textbooks like he’s reading novels. What a complete nerd. “Well, since you’re not reading now, did you manage to read my text?” Romeo interjects himself into my and Xander's argument. “It’s kind of about work.”

Someone that was staring at her. ‘Oh crap.’ “Sorry,” She mouthed and he shrugged. They started again by reading the first chapter together. Xeelany listened attentively to each word as she slowly progressed through each sentence. She tried to concentrate on every single syllable as she felt as if her mind was being filled with water from all those words flowing over each other in a never ending flow. “You should really try harder at understanding these,” Xavier chuckled as he put a bookmark in the book they were currently reading and closed it. “You’ve barely gotten through a fourth chapter now.”
