There's a certain charm to stories about love and passion.” I nod in agreement, feeling a sense of camaraderie with him as we bond over our shared love of literature. “Exactly,” I say, my voice animated. “And besides reading, I also enjoy spending time outdoors, going for hikes, and exploring the beauty of nature.”

It takes him a moment to read the room. All four of the guys are standing with one of my books in their hands. I know what each one is by glancing briefly at the covers. All of them are erotica, werewolf, and absolutely filthy. I have had to read most of them one handed and almost always fantasised about Phoenix and I as the main characters. “What the hell is going on? Why is Rose embarrassed?” Phoenix glares at his brothers as he steps in front of me. How did he know I’m embarrassed? He’s right, I’m absolutely mortified.

We talked and talked till the manager of the restaurant himself came to tell us that it was too late and he had to shut the bar. I came to know so much about him. His favourite things, how he despised coffee, which I would like to change his opinion on. How he love to read, his love for literature, which I can already guess from the giant library he had back in the castle. He had a huge collections of charlotte Brontë, Virginia wolf and of course Jane Austin. Alpha Reed Xander is a mercurial man but with astonishing talents. Still one thing I hate about him most is how he keep hiding things from me even after I told him I hate it. Ugh! He is already in my head.

Every time their eyes met, he gave her that knowing smirk. After dinner, the parents went to bed early, exhausted from the long drive. The cabin fell quiet except for the crackling fire in the living room. Sara tried to read on the couch. Callum sat in the armchair across from her, legs spread, watching her like a predator. "You have been staring at the same page for ten minutes," he said, his voice low. "What is on your mind, Sara?" She snapped the book shut. "Nothing that concerns you."

Rhea said, her tone lazy but laced with razor-edged disdain, “If you were any more desperate, I’d have to offer you a tissue so you could wipe your brain, maybe then, you would be able to think better.” Xander blinked. I turned, just slightly, to see her wheel herself forward without hesitation. Her expression was unreadable, that cool, aloof face she wore like armor, but her eyes, her eyes were on fire. Xander’s smile returned, “Desperate? For what, sweetheart?” Rhea tilted her head, folding her arms loosely over her chest, “Oh, come on. Don’t play dumb. Your actions are screaming louder than your mouth ever could.” He raised an eyebrow, intrigued, “And what exactly are they screaming?”
