"Are you asking about our shared interests or what keeps us in bed together?" Rena nearly chokes on the piece of bread she just bit into. I smirk. Xavier’s expression remains unreadable. "You can start with interests." "Books," Rena blurts out, clearing her throat quickly, as if she needs to physically push down her embarrassment. "We both love books." Xavier actually laughs. A short, amused sound, but a laugh nonetheless. "Books?" His eyes flick between us. "Armani, you? Since when do you love books?"

His attention went back to the screen and I turned mine to his book shelf to look for something to read. Vampires. Werewolfs. Romance. Teen Fiction. Mystery. Thriller. Historical. He's got a lot of books. Xavier's POV I looked at Royalty as she looked through my bookshelf for something to read. I knew girls rather shop than read and I found it quite interesting for a girl to be a bookworm. I was feeling something for her but I couldn't put my finger on it. I was slowly starting to enjoy being around her. I got up without making a sound.

Someone that was staring at her. ‘Oh crap.’ “Sorry,” She mouthed and he shrugged. They started again by reading the first chapter together. Xeelany listened attentively to each word as she slowly progressed through each sentence. She tried to concentrate on every single syllable as she felt as if her mind was being filled with water from all those words flowing over each other in a never ending flow. “You should really try harder at understanding these,” Xavier chuckled as he put a bookmark in the book they were currently reading and closed it. “You’ve barely gotten through a fourth chapter now.”
