Although this place is saddening, this was his comfort zone. He closed his eyes and let the cold wind sooth his skin. It was as if someone was caressing his check, his smile faltered. Xavier took a deep breath. "We were on our way back home from our trip in this country. Together with my family and I travelled across this place, but then an unexpected incident happened. Finding a bus wasn't a problem for them as many buses were moving up and down the road. They got onto a bus where many people were. They didn't want to make the same mistake that Tina made by getting onto a bus with human traffickers. They sat at the far back, beside a middle aged woman who was carrying a tray of vegetables. Chinyere was seated in between Tina and the woman. Chinyere kept the bag under the seat and turned to the woman. "Good morning, ma," Chinyere greeted the woman. "Good morning," the woman smiled. Xander nodded, smoothly handing over the bag of souvenirs he was supposed to take upstairs. A few minutes later, Trista hurried back downstairs and shoved a delicate gift bag into Xander's hands. "It's getting really late. Here. Drive safe on your way back." Xander caught the bag—which still carried her body heat—but as he pulled his hand back, he smoothly stepped closer. The overwhelming, oppressive presence of a mature Alpha instantly enveloped her. "Dr. Trista," he lowered his voice, dropping a hint of subtle, roguish teasing. "I'm going to be out of the country for over half a month. Do I really not even get a goodbye hug before I leave?"

Xander mused I grinned widely to his irritation, “morning to you too baby. I believe you had a good night rest?” He gritted his teeth at me, returning his attention to the road. Taking off my backpack, I settled into the car right, turning my head to the window as we made our way out of the pack. A feeling of excitement raced through my insides. I have never been out of the pack on any form of trip. All of my life had been spent roaming within Blackstone pack. The road looks beautiful with the houses and lined trees on the side. Returning my attention to the two men in the front seat, Xander had his legs plopped on the dashboard as he scrolled through his tablet.

Then the big white trucks rolled into the bay, clean and heavy, their sides marked in bold blue: AELION INDUSTRIES. Relief swept through the department like a breeze.
