He and Lincoln both lean in. “It’s beautiful,” Xander breathes. “And so perfect for you.” I smile. “When I saw the drawing, it felt so right. I love it.” I don’t tell them it’s hiding my Task Force runes though. “How are you feeling now?” I ask, turning fully to face Xander. “Honestly? Completely fine. It took a few days for the headache and fatigue to go, but two days ago we all felt as good as new.” I close my eyes and exhale, some of the tightness in my chest finally easing.

My dad helped me get my luggage from the trunk and so when we went in we waited for Amber, so I just pulled my phone out of my sweatpants ok, see I did not want to wear tight jeans or a cute dress for over 19 hours in a plane so I just wore the same thing I wore at home. Scrolling through my phone I felt someone tap my should and I look up to see my mum point at something or should I say someone I look over my shoulder to see a familiar brunette I couldn't recognize until they turned around was Amber! I want to finish my work fast. After I'm done, I stretch my body and shake my tired hand. I smile to see the result. "Wow, Cassy, I look alive in your drawing," Xander commented, standing behind me with his hands holding my shoulder. "Does it turn out good?" I asked, looking up at him. He smiled, and I gasped when he kissed my forehead, smiling. "It turns out more than I expected." He said as if he didn't just kiss me while I was blushing.

I stand between the two of them in case things go further south than they already have. “I’ll fucking kill you! How dare you say that about my mate!” Xander screams, his beast claiming his eyes and beginning to shift under his skin. He is actively fighting against Devin to get to Brandon. “Don’t worry about it, Xander. All I am is a fuck boy to him,” Xander thunders. He pushes away from Zak, glaring into his eyes. “To all of them. I’m only any good to them in bed.”

“Because I want Mason. Simple, Xander. You wouldn’t understand—you never want anyone.” Xander tilted his head slightly. “Well, I like being alone. When the car finally pulled to a halt, he opened them. “Oh wow. Professor Ste-phen Draven’s penthouse,” Xander mumbled, watching Mason walk inside the towering building. “He definitely can’t afford to live here, given his background.”

Xander is married to Julia. I was even saying the words in my head, filling my throat like a fire. Xander was standing with his ass against the front of his desk, and he was wearing blue jeans and V-neck white shirt that looked too small for his toned chest. Xander's long black hair was down in the back, and the top half was in a messy bun on his head. Damn, Xander hasn't changed a bit; still sexy as hell. "Brinley," Xander says. The sound of my name, I looked up into his silver eyes, the same eyes that pull under a spell, and I can't think of anything or anyone as long I'm staring at him.

They don’t get to be rude and treat me like a toy they don’t want to share, so they can learn to act like decent people or suffer. Xander flops next to me, but wisely keeps a visible distance between us. We eat and talk, Sierra joining in the conversation. Eventually the guys resign themselves to the fact that I am going to include Xander and join us. Once we all started talking and relaxing it was actually fun. Xander is a mix of Dakota and Sam, but has Cam’s responsible oldest child vibe. I really need to ask about his younger siblings.
