It makes me want to cry and laugh and start a fight for joy. Xander stands inside the chalked ring, stripped to the waist. He’s not the bulkiest wolf in the room, but he also doesn’t need to be. He wears the scar across his shoulder like a sentence he learned from rather than a boast. He catches Rose’s eye and the grin that wants to take his face splits him right down the middle. Calder is all angles and impatience. He’s built like a stack of decisions no one argues with and he paces the far edge of the circle as if motion equals momentum and stares at Xander as if he can make him smaller with focus alone.

“I…” Xander pushes past him before he could get any more words out. His gait showed he was mad, but deep down, I knew he was going to be in a worse condition by the time he'd read whatever Xavier had for him. I counted to fifty, and after inhaling and exhaling for the umpteenth time, I finally summoned courage to go after Xander. I met him in the foyer, his lips quivering with a letter in hand. Did Xavier send just one letter for the both of us?

"Sorry honey, looks like you are in the wrong house" Xander's mom said. "No mom. This is Genna, a girl I mistakenly had an attraction for" Xander said. "Mistakenly had an attraction for? Xander! Is that who I am to you?" Genna said at the edge of breaking into tears. "I'll take care of this," Xander said. He walked towards her and dragged her into God knows where. Xander Richards I was super shocked and confused to see Genna here.

That's money speaking anyway. " Oh my prince,you have finally decided to see your mother after a long time." Mrs Kate said hugging her son. " Mum, I have been busy with work." Xander replied. Kate's eyes went to Ariande who was smiling at their warm reception. This reminded her of her own mother. "Who is she?" Kate whispered to her son's hearing. " Oh, Ariande, this is my mother. Mum, this is Ariande, my fiancee." Xander introduced.

“Because I’m a fucking coward. Because if I admit I love her, it becomes real. And if it’s real, then she can be taken from me. Like Mom was. Like Britney.” Ethan’s face hardens. “You’re not that boy anymore, Xavier. And Audrey’s not your mother. She’s a fighter. She survived shit that would’ve broken most people.” I nod, jaw clenched. “I know. But I also know Brandon’s still out there. And my father’s breathing down my neck with this engagement bullshit. Xander, wearing a suit, soon came rushing in looking smug. I looked at Bianca mockingly and said, "Are you having fun with Xander, playing a game of testing true love a hundred times? "Oh, I forgot. You two were clearly having the time of your lives! Today was the hundredth time, right? It's a pity. I no longer want to play along!" Xander's face flushed instantly. He realized that the situation was not right. He wanted to go, but Bianca grabbed him by the arm and pulled him back.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Clyde half yelled. Xander immediately hugged him and everyone's eyes widened including Clyde and bella. "Please do this for me, and act like my partner, please." Xander said. "What are you saying why should I do that?" Clyde whispered inhaling his breathtaking cologne.

Xander… He was there, right next to me, on his feet now, bloodied but determined. His eyes were wide, his chest heaving, but there was a fire in his gaze that matched my own. They slipped into my office, planted something in my drawer, then ducked into the restroom. I frowned, narrowing my eyes trying to see the figure's face. “Pause,” Xander said. The screen froze on a side profile, just enough light hit the man’s face. My mouth went dry. “Is that…” Xander’s jaw was clenched. “Yes.” It was Mr. Hale. I stared at the screen. “This can’t be right. That’s, he’s your father’s friend. You trusted him.” I looked at Xander, his eyes looked so sad. I wanted to reach out to comfort him, but it I couldn't do that, not yet.
