The girl was a talkative—something I loved about her. "And why are you still up?" My gaze fell on his drawing book. "Drawing something?" He nodded and sat back on the floor. I took a closer look at the drawing. It was a weird one. Xylon was definitely going to be a good artist when he grew up. But for now, his sketches were still amateurish. Observing carefully, I could tell it was a rough sketch of a man. At least, that was what it looked like. The person had beards and a moustache with a hoodie over his head. The drawing looked poor and unclear, but this was what I could make out.

We watch and take notes like the rest of the class, until Tyler decides he’s over it. He nudges my arm lightly. I glance at him. “What?” Looking pretty proud of himself, he tilts his notebook slightly toward me. Instead of notes, there’s a badly drawn sketch of two stick figures. One is labeled You, and the other is labeled Me. The “me” stick figure is significantly taller. I bite down on a smile. “Don’t quit your day job, Brooks.” He grins, completely unbothered, and adds a tiny heart between them.

Although there were only a few simple strokes, the little cartoons were very similar to Yi Jinli and Ling Yiran. "I drew this. Do they look like us? One is for you and one is for me. It's our matching family outfits. I'll draw the kids after they're born and print them on T-shirts," she said cheerfully. "I didn't expect you to be good at drawing cartoons," he said approvingly. "I liked to draw cartoons when I was at school. I also made comics, but I haven’t drawn for a long time since then and got a little rusty. I secretly practiced it for a while. Luckily, the drawings look good on T-shirts," she said.

How can that be a fart when the concept is about Disney characters!?” Xander must have snapped because of how loud we were arguing, because he suddenly turns to us with a pretty stressed out look. “Wait, we were supposed to guess characters? Damn.” Oh snap. I almost forgot about that. Serves me right for not listening to the instructions. Xander appears to be opening his mouth like he wants to scold me, but decides to keep his mouth shut in the end and tries to focus on the drawing of a butt farting instead.

Harley says, wiping his tears. "It's okay, bubba." I say, kissing his head and smoothing his hair down. He opens the piece of paper and smiles when he sees a drawing of two stick figures, one being small and one being big, the small one being Kai and the big one being Xavier. There's a heart in the middle and it's colored in and outside the lines and- awww, she wrote her name at the bottom. "It's beautiful, baby. Thank you." Xavier says, kissing her cheek.

Vixen says, kissing her cheek. "You're gonna see mines now?" Harley says, looking up at Vixen. With a smile, Vixen kisses his nose and replies. "Yes, I'm gonna look at yours." he says, grabbing his card. He opens his card to reveal a drawing of five little stick figures of him, Leah, Kai, me, and Vixen and he drew our names above all our heads with a heart in the middle of all of us. "Thank you, bubba. I love it." he says, kissing his head and hugging all of them.

They were completely absorbed in their artwork. "Hi, Xai," I said, offering a friendly smile, but she didn't even glance up. Guess she gets that from Francis. Tsk. "What are you drawing?" I asked, peering at her creation. It was a family tree, with three men labeled Tito, Kuya, and Daddy, and a girl labeled with her name: Xai Reign. I immediately noticed that someone was missing.

Hearing his motorbike, I quickly pretended to read my history textbook while secretly watching him. Behind Connor is his family's roofless army green jeep. Thann one of the triplets sat in the driver's seat; across from him was their beautiful cousin Kara, and at the back were the remaining triplet, Tanner, and Tant. I admired Kara's light golden hair blowing gracefully in the wind. She was like a model, tall and elegant.

Mercedes' POV “Can I see?” I asked Carter who shrieked and hud his paper behind his back. “Carter what's wrong? You've been drawing for hours, can I see?” I asked again but the little boy shook his head. “Why not?” I inquired. “I'm not yet done,” he replied. “Carter never shows me his drawings and he laughs at mine.” Penelope pouted as she rose her paper and showed me her drawing. There were four stickmen, two bigger ones on either side while two smaller ones stood in the middle smiling as they held their hands together.
