Tyler scoffed as he slapped the letter she held in her hand. “That was just a hobby, Ty! This is what I want to do,” Ruby explained. It seemed like she was searching for his approval, and that bothered me a lot. “Well, don’t come crying to me when your body’s all saggy and your ass is dragging across the floor,” he shuddered. “Gross.” I leaned my head back against the wall with my eyes closed, fists clenched, teeth grinding. Trying to remain calm by counting to ten. My eyes flashed open once I heard how she responded.

At my side, Ruby breaks the neck on one enemy, and immediately engages the next one. ‘Xander, outside. We are outnumbered.’ I mindlink my mate. I feel him move, and concentrate on my next target. I plant my knife in his side, slicing his throat when he goes down, as someone growls behind us and shakes the ground. The guys ram into the enemies with a squad of warriors, finishing the rogues. We nod to each other, some of the warriors going with me and Ruby as she still insists on coming along. I hand her a knife, and I grins a wolfish grin I never knew my sweet twin could produce.

Xoan replied. Yaslyn's mind clicked, and she immediately thought of Ruby. Ruby must have figured out her identity from the business card, found the company's customer service number, and then called Xoan. 'Ruby is indeed clever,' Yaslyn thought, feeling warmth in her heart as she smiled. "What are you smiling at? You were foolish to get caught in a cold storage room," Xoan chided. "I was being brave. Saving a young girl and helping her find the right path in life is my undeniable responsibility," Yaslyn responded, rolling her eyes.

What the hell is she talking about? “I don’t understand,” I look at her, trying to read through her badass, confident demeanor. “Why do we have to know each other?” Her smirk widens, her eyes bright. “Name’s Ruby. I run this place, but when I’m not pouring drinks or cracking skulls, I help women who’ve been fucked with.” She pulls out a ratty card and slides it toward me.

She piped up, “Mr. Griffin, you’re mistaken. You should be asking to buy the Magpie’s Treasure Nest from me if you want it! What’s the point of asking Zayn?” Noticing that Zayn did not voice his view on the situation, Xavier could only ask Ruby instead. She swaggered. If she could have 3.8 million dollars in cash, it would be a thick, fat stack of notes!

How on earth did he think they could play or get on any rides with what they both had on? “How about we get a change of clothes first Gem.” He smiled softly and they both walked into the boutique. Jaxon walked towards the trousers sections and grabbed two black joggers in his size and Ruby’s size. Ruby was looking around the shop when her eyes landed on a couple of shirts. One had the yin and Yang design and it completely captured her mind. She brought it to Jaxonabd he smiled in approval as they made payments and changed in the changing rooms. Jaxon took Ruby to the gate and ran to the car to drop their clothes.
