Hendrix POV After that weirdo's silly bedtime story about end-of-the-world cults or something, I could tell Anna's resolve was breaking down. Those weird creatures and their horrifying objects were like living nightmares come true. They had twisted bodies and soulless eyes that looked right into your mind with cold malice. Their rude and inappropriate presence made me lose even my normal confidence. But giving in to fear was the first thing that led to loss. And there was no way in hell I was going to be added to Scar's crazy plan to kill people from our family tree.

Can I tell the one about the wolf?” Bran chimed in. “Wolf?” Patrick asked as Brinna looked out the window and saw another animal running alongside their vehicle. “Yeah, the one that eats the girl in the red hood.” “Mommy, I don’t like that story. It is scary.” Bree snuck at the rolling landscape and saw the scary animal with sharp teeth sneering at her, so she pretended to look forward and saw her parents exchange a look.

She didn't want to hear anymore of the frightening story. "Don't tell me you're all scared. It's a myth, I made it up!" John smirked, his eyes gazing at the scared faces of his girlfriend and friends. "Ha ha ha, scared? I've never been scared of anything in my life!" Rocky roared in laughter as he rose from the ground. "Scary stories don't scare me. I'm gonna pee!" He uttered still grinning. "Don't wander far into the woods, you never know who you'll meet." John warned in a playful but spooky voice.

He whispered coldly in my ears. My eyes widened up as he said. My brow arched, I couldn't believed my ear. Oh my God! What is he trying to do with me? The fear of losing myself to a monster like him rushed a spine into my whole body system. Too young for this phase I was passing through. No! He wouldn't get down on me so easily.

“Why should I be scared?” Leah looked at him. “I heard a lot of horror stories ten years ago, and I was afraid then, but then years later, I don’t feel the same anymore. Dead people aren’t scarier than living ones.” Morrison laughed dryly. “Oh, I thought you were one of the silly girls. I guess you have some brains too.” “Why would I not have brains?” “Well, were you thinking the last time?” Morrison mocked her. “You left your brain at home. What a woman did was able to silence you. Besides, you drank so much at the bar that day. Children from elementary school have a better sense of danger than you.”
