Dear Maya, I know you’re probably not going to read this letter and I understand if you don’t. I just want to check up on you and see how you’re doing. It’s been two months now and every day feels like too long without your presence. I really, really miss you, everything around me makes no sense with you. It’s almost like when you left you took my life along with you. But that’s okay because my life belongs to you.

It's as if a part of me is missing, leaving a vast, empty space that cannot be filled. The emptiness is a weight that presses upon my chest, making it hard to breathe. I miss how you listen without correcting me. How you let me feel things without telling me what they mean.”
