He brought me this dress a week ago. ' It's a lovely dress. A smile appeared on my lips. The slit is showing my bare leg and thigh. I am nervous as a teenage girl. He should've come now. ' I leaned back in my chair with a heavy sigh and glanced up at the moon in the sky. It was full and shining brightly in the clear night sky. I glanced down at the display. It was midnight. The new day began. He didn't remember this day nor did he come. I stared at the cake with tearful eyes, "It must be something important." I told myself and pushed on my feet. Unhappiness drowned me.

Her breath, even and unhurried. She passed a bookstore. The same one she’d power-walked past every morning for a year, late to a standup, coffee sloshing, brain already compiling the day’s failure modes. Today she stopped. She went inside. The air smelled like paper and dust and time. She bought a novel she’d seen months ago and never had time for. Six hundred and twelve pages. No table of contents. No appendix on scaling Kubernetes. The cover was a deep, useless blue. The synopsis mentioned a lighthouse. She didn’t even read the whole thing.

Most of them were just half baked and cliche novels, none of them which caught my eye, except for a select few, some rare gems. “These are the ones I want to buy. How much would my money be?” I dropped five books onto the counter and fished in through my purse. He told me the amount and I gave him, even going as far as to add a tip as well, to which he gratefully responded. “Well, it was nice doing business with you,” I said lightly, already arranging the books together, ready to go back home, when the man stopped me from doing so. “You are that new traveler, right? The one with the tough mate?” He asked, his tone raspy.

Noel smiled and silently uttered. "By then, I will wait." *** That night, as usual, Noel opened up his library in a random and hidden place, where it was reserved for only those with adventurous soul. While waiting, he read some new books that he bought from online shopping. Due to his interest in online shopping, or, to be precise, addiction, he bought a dozen boxes of books, all just to fill his collection. When the gremlins knew about that, they almost scolded him but then he said,

Isn't it natural for me to ask? After the taxi arrived in front of the bookstore, I entered the store and drowned myself among the shelves filled with books. I bought novels in random genres. Reading novels makes me feel like I am entering another world where I can feel what the main character is going through. It was quite fun; I could forget my troubles for a while. I fell when someone bumped into me. All the books I was holding were scattered on the floor. Come on, doesn't he see that this place is quite wide? Does it make sense to bump into someone in such a large place?

Gabrielle furrowed her brow playfully and Irish laughed. "Tell me something more interesting girl!" Gabrielle said. "Okay!" Irish sighed. "Mr Ethan bought lots of novels for me!" Irish said. "Wow! Really?" "Yes, that was yesternight and i was so happy. The novels were my favorite genre and the author was also my favorite" Irish said excitedly. She couldn't wait to be done with breakfast and go resume those novels. She read three of them yesternight before she went to bed. She couldn't wait to read more today.
