The Next Day: Faye woke up the next day and on checking her time it was 11:00am, she could not sleep until 4am this morning. She entered the bathroom to freshen up and walked into the kitchen to make coffee, she took a sip of her office when she heard a knock on her door. "Daylan? She could not describe the sudden action of her breath as she opened her door.."you're still on the clothes you wore Last night? He was standing there before her still unshaven with pain and regret I'm his eyes.

Day 3: The book was done. I thought it would take me longer than that to read it. But since I didn’t have anything else to do, I read it quickly. And it wasn’t even very good. At least I didn’t have eggs today, though. They brought me some fruit. Kiwi, which I detest and I’m borderline allergic to, but it was nice to have something other than eggs. Day 4, 5: Eggs. No more eggs. I couldn’t eat any more eggs.

Alora’s POV I woke up feeling surprisingly refreshed, the remnants of a vivid dream clinging to my mind. I stretched my arms above my head, feeling a rare sense of happiness wash over me. The book I read yesterday had seeped into my dreams, transporting me to a world where love was pure, uncomplicated, and all-consuming. The story was a whirlwind of emotions, a classic enemies-to-lovers romance that started with sharp, witty banter between the protagonists and slowly unfolded into a deep, passionate connection.

But it was coming and it was closer than yesterday and considerably closer than the week before. I picked up my textbook. I opened it. I stared at the page and saw none of it.

Alizeh: "I just can't sleep today, I am feeling a lot of nervousness and restlessness today, I just feel like running from here to someplace else, just away from everybody!" That was the last message that night from her and after that, as she was tired, she slept and so did I only to wake up to a beautiful morning the next day.

Jun said getting ready for the main subject. "Yes, before that, I have something to say," Iori said with a serious tone, "I... read your book for the first time yesterday," she confessed looking up at him with a wry smile. Jun laughed at that then told her, " Me too..."

I gazed at the river, and the last ripple of emotion within me faded. I pulled out a cigarette and lit it. Through the curling smoke, I seemed to see that night from long ago. Wyatt had his arm around me as he called me his closest friend, and Queenie, with a shy smile, vowed to love me forever. Back then, we were so young and foolish. The cigarette burned down, and I flicked the butt into the river. Its ember drew a fleeting arc before vanishing into the black water. Everything was over. I turned and strode toward the brightly lit streets ahead.
