One by one, they marched out, their boots thumping against the floor. Of course, Amara was last. Her hips swayed, giving off that same silent challenge she always did. She paused at the door, stealing a quick glance back at me—just for a second, her eyes sparkling with that familiar mix of confidence and mischief. It was infuriating.
Then she was gone, vanishing down the hallway. That left just me and Aleksander in the silence.
He sighed through his nose, arms crossed. “You’re playing with fire, Viktor.”
