Third POV
The package arrived at the penthouse just after lunch on Thursday.
It came through the building’s concierge desk, plain brown paper, no return address, no courier label, just a small white card taped to the top in neat block letters: “For the boy with the blue eyes – from someone who cares.”
The doorman had flagged it immediately. Anything unmarked for the Morgan-Serrano residence went straight to security screening.
The team opened it in the lobby mailroom under camera: inside a soft navy-blue stuffed whale, plush, well-made, the kind that cost more than most people paid for groceries, wrapped in tissue paper. Tucked beneath it, a single folded note on thick cream cardstock.
