Your Mine Novels & Stories

The System announced, "Your mission is complete. You can return now. "Shane will disappear for eternity, and never be reborn." A happiness I had never felt before surged through me, and I rushed back to Eugene's home as quickly as I could. It had only been a few hours, but it felt like an eternity. Eugene was speaking with his dog.

“Thank you for accepting me, Mr. Drake Woods. I’d make this industry proud.” “Sure you will. I believe in you so much.” He smiled with his eyes. I gave a smile that came like a flash, just for the sake of being polite. I closed the door carefully and rested my back on it for a while. I inhaled deeply and exhaled loudly. I turned around to catch a glimpse of his name imprinted boldly on the door. “Drake Woods.” I adjusted my hair again, maintaining the side parting I gave it, and walked to the elevator majestically.

TBC AUTHOR'S NOTE: Thank you for so much for choosing to read my book, Mine Peaches. For the first few chapters of this book, there will be an alternating between the past and the present. I hope you enjoy the read!

There was no mention of mining in Ice Demon City. A chicken farm? Yes, perhaps a merchant or a nobleman could establish one in a month or two. It wasn't all that difficult. But what about a mine? That wasn't something somebody could conjure up out of thin air. Additionally, the empire had already confirmed that there were no minerals near Ice Demon City. Following a moment of careful observation of the kid, Zikk's eyes widened. The young boy entered the Endless woodland as though it were nothing unusual. ‘The mine is inside the Endless Forest!’

It surely wasn’t a diamond. “This is musgravite, one of the rarest stones in the world. And I especially got this made for you. A rare stone for my rare and beautiful woman,” he smiled looking down at the ring and pulling it out of the box. And before I could pull my hand back, he held it and pulled up. I snapped my eyes shut and cursed inwardly. I didn’t really have to look at his face. I had already anticipated his reaction.

“I swear to all the gods, Calder, if you don’t get to the fucking point—” “Long story short, I have a bunch of uncut diamonds buried in an abandoned uranium mine in Saskatchewan. And I want to go retrieve them.” I blinked at the opposite wall, my mouth falling open. All those words made sense individually, but when you put them together…my brain refused to process that information. “Fucking Saskatchewhat?” was all that came out of me.

His scorn could shatter me into a million jagged pieces. I grind my teeth in aggravation. I haven't been in his company for more than two minutes, and already my buzz has disappeared. I have no idea why he calls me "princess." I may be Enzo Valentini's youngest daughter, but I'm no pampered mafia princess by any stretch of the imagination. I don't live at the compound. I hold a job. And I don't take money from my parents. I suspect that he does it to piss me off, which makes no sense.

"There is a park over there for the kids and adults to enjoy. My grandmother designed the fountain. It is a representation of Selene with her children worshipping her. Look down in the water bottom of the fountain." "Wow, That is so beautiful. The moons are in silver, and the fountain has a white bottom. The moons stand out, being that they are in silver. What kind of stones are those in the bottom?" She asks, taking in every aspect of the fountain. "They are Moonstones and Selenite. I thought you might love it." "Yes, it is the most beautiful fountain I have ever seen, and the flowers around it and the walkways really set it off. This place feels peaceful and happy."

Tyler pushes the drink in front of me and I chuckle taking a small sip. "I am here to have fun, maybe if you are free" I wink, and the idiot smirks biting his bottom lip. "Of course, baby. Have I ever said no to you?" I laugh taking another sip from the drink. Every time I am out here to hunt, I take it as my last day. It's not guaranteed that I will make it out alive, especially when most of the men I hunt are constantly dangerous. I have nothing to live for anyway. "So, is he here, yet?" I get to business and he nods pointing upstairs to the VIP section.

Then it wrote a single word on the pane, backward so I could read it from inside: MINE. Freshman year just started. And the valley already knows my name..
