Zeke raised a hand to silence the celebration, facing the crowd.
“There’s more,” he announced and my stomach tightened again.
Zeke stepped forward until he stood right in front of me. His gaze softened, not much, but enough to surprise me. It was an expression I hadn't seen before.
“You said you wanted something new,” he said. “A life with purpose.”
I nodded, still breathless from the pain.
“There’s a rogue faction two borders from here, Sablethorn. They have the last active healer academy still standing after the eastern collapse.” He paused. “If you commit to us, we will sponsor your full training there. Your education, your housing…everything.”
