"You can’t come to a place like this and drink juice. Trust me, try a cocktail. I’ll have the bartender make you one of his specialties. You won’t regret it." Ignoring Jade’s protests, Bella snapped her fingers at the bartender. "One Dry Martini." Jade’s brow furrowed slightly at the order. The Dry Martini, a quintessential and iconic cocktail in any bar, was known for its sharp, clear taste and classic aroma. Due to its strong and dry characteristics, it was a drink that people approached with caution.

I should see how far I can push him before he snaps. First, I need a little refreshment to get me through this pony show. I shake off my father and brothers, heading straight to the bar. Shoreside may be a bit snooty, but it’s got a fun resort kinda vibe, and they’re famous for their summery cocktails. Especially the Kentucky Kiss, which is bourbon, lemon, fresh strawberry purée, and a splash of maple syrup, poured over ice with a dumb little paper umbrella on top. But when I order it, the bartender shakes his head regretfully.

"No, I was only joking," the bartender replied. "One mango margarita coming up!" Then he turned away to do our bidding.

"The moon invited the silver wolves? That's perfect! I'll take you to your table." On the table, a mini-fountain of fruit drink is flowing and we pick our own glasses to scoop. Sherizzah mixed a piece of tablet in my drink and I haven't tasted it yet when the extreme spice of the water's scent itched my throat. "It's a special mint to make strong drinks. That might itch your throat and leave you hoarse later," she informed, and then whispered, "But just pretend that your throat hurts throughout the celebration." "What? Why—?"

A neon blue, but I couldn’t make out any decorations from where we stood. The crisp, cool, outside air infiltrated my nose as I turned to Roman. “This place is awesome.” I said. He nodded in agreement. “Drinks?” He questioned. “Yes please.” I replied, and we headed to the second floor where the bar wasn’t as packed. I ordered a dragon fruit margarita on the rocks, with salt on the rim and a sidecar of tequila. Roman ordered a whiskey and coke.

He poured the liquid into two cups, and garnished each with a lime. “What is it?” I asked, smelling it. I didn’t smell any booze or anything weird. It actually smelled like lime, ginger, and pineapple. “I can see the halos on the two of you from a mile away. I call it Virgin’s Paradise. It’s basically a Pineapple Moscow Mule, but without the vodka. It’s got crushed up lime and pineapple suspended in ginger ale. Simple, sweet, and perfect for people who don’t drink alcohol.” I sipped it. It was good. I would have never thought to put pineapple with lime and ginger ale. “Damn,” Rose said beside me.

He texted her, asking where they were drinking. They ordered two kinds of drinks: the Polmos Spirytus Rektyfikowany 192 Proof and Penicillin Cocktail. 192 Proof is made of premium ethyl alcohol with an agricultural cereal origin while Cocktail is one of the best drinks in Singapore. This is an intoxicating concoction of Islay Scotch, honey-ginger sweetening, and recent juice, the drink is lemony, sweet, and alluringly smoky all promptly. The cocktail tastes like a slice of heaven. It will be worth it.

I loved Lena to death, but God, she gave me shitty advice. Wanda scribbled a few things on her pad and laughed with my friends before returning to the bar for their drink order. I was slowly building up my courage and grabbed the paper. “The usual, I presume?” I asked Wanda as I looked at the written drinks. “Yeah. And the lady with them wants a Tie me to the bedpost. Figures…” Wanda added, rolling her eyes. “What the heck is that anyway?” I groaned. “It’s citron vodka, coconut rum, melon liquor, sweet and sour mix and 7-Up,” I said and prepared their order. Once everything was ready, I put the glasses on a tray and wiped the stress sweat rolling off my forehead.
